Hi! I was busy raiding in WoW and doing assorted things ;< I also haven't much to contribute now either, aside from that I also hope they sort out paypal sooner rather than later! Alice one is really nice too, surprised that's still in stock.
Do you guys ever try to browse for proper pictures of released dakimakura? In general there's not much point searching english sites, but for browsing japanese ones I find that searching for "character name (in japanese) 抱ãæž•ã‚«ãƒãƒ¼ (dakimakura) blog" gives best results. Possibly adding in C81 or whatever event it came from too. I have limited success with this approach but it fails outright for a lot of dakimakura. Anyone got any suggestions for any better search terms/tactics?
And on that topic, here're pics I found of that ninja girl daki I got from comiket, http://blog.livedoor.jp/nemyii/archives/5672211.html god I can't wait for her to arrive.

Unfortunately, it only works typically for covers that are released by Ero game companies in general because those usually have a full image on their site.
The only other way is to visit other blogs of Japanese people, since they do very comprehensive photo taking, but even then those are limited.
You guys have it good since you only buy 1 of each covers. My total damages accumulated this month hit 300k yen already. so yeah god bless me.
Been playing some dream c c club on Vita.waiting for a recontract on my job, so I got tons of free time poking around to get myself in deeper shit.

JFC ZZ, 300K yen?! Yo, you want to get me a job working with you?
Also, my B&W store order is in. :D I missed the delivery today, but am going to the PO to pick up tomorrow morning. That was a ridiculously fast turn around time, from order to delivery. Thanks for the help, guys.

If anything, I would love to work under any of you guys, you got a stronger dollar, which equates to more buying power. My currency can't do nuts against the dollar let alone the yen. How I wish, I had the money like you guys, I could have expended my collection by another 30% which means I would have hit 520 over dakis in total.
This is just about half of my stuff since I had to find another deputy service because SMJ isn't all mighty. Darn those "me no likey foreigners" auctions.

Hmm, that's actually a pretty interesting shot; does SMJ require you to pay up front? For the IG stuff, anyway. It shows that you've paid for it already, but they don't have it in stock yet. Actually, I guess that makes sense, given they ship directly from Japan to you; they can calculate the total invoice cost once they pay the seller, since they don't have to then turn around and ship it to the US. I still haven't paid for my 400+ day IG order. >_>
As for searching tips, you pretty much got the best of it, willowywicca. I generally use Chrome and just copy/Google Search the item name, and then chop it down further from there to get results. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's generally pretty helpful, with a bit of grunt work and patience, to dig up sample images for covers that aren't on the dakimakura blog/were released a long time ago. But even then it isn't really a sure thing.
For proper images of the actual cover, you're even more limited to what people have taken pictures of. The copy/search method still works fairly well, but over time you just start to learn what sites do reviews, and you check back at those frequently.

You don't pay upfront, you can only pay when they sent the invoice in 2-3 days. From there you're given 2 weeks grace to pay.
And god, someone tell me where I can get this doujin(physical copy of otherwise)

Well at a quick search, you can buy it here:
http://www.free-board.jp/doujin/itemdetail/49628.html 1260yen
http://www.dmm.co.jp/mono/doujin/-/detail/=/cid=d_aicomic1673/ 630yen
http://shop.comiczin.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=10890 630yen
http://d-stage.com/shop/detail.php?seq=24969 630yen
Doesn't seem like it's been scanned yet but probably shall be in due time like most ero comiket stuff is.

My wording was a bit off; I know all about the grace period and such though, since I use SMJ for the majority of my shopping. :P
It appears that there are a couple of differences between US shoppers and international shoppers, though. US shoppers don't get invoiced until the item arrives in Japan, whereas it looks like you get invoiced shortly after they pay the seller. Generally speaking, this would only bring a difference of a couple of days between US/non-US buyers and when they're invoiced... but in the case of IG, it looks like you've already paid for a few orders that haven't arrived yet, whereas I haven't been invoiced for my IG order yet.
Edit: Mandarake has that doujinshi in stock, but it's only on their Japanese site. Might be easier just to buy it elsewhere, but I've had success in the past emailing them and asking them to upload items to their English site:

Trust me, man I am no where near that number nor do I have that sort of money. I do have about four comic book boxes of doujinshi though. That is really where my bidding/buying obsession started. Same goes for some eroge PC games and HCG sets on disc - I have a couple dozen of them too.
Fortunately for me I have zero debt and own everything in my possession. :)

Also, yeah Shashin, that's pretty much how I go about searching for covers when I find one in say an auction; I will copy/paste into Google and if that doesn't turn anything up then I'll cut it down until something does. Also, I don't know if any of you know this little trick, but if you go to Google image search and find a pic of a cover you are searching for but it just so happens to be censored, not the right size, etc. you can actually drag and drop the image into the Google search bar. I just found this out a couple months ago by accident. It will also provide you with similar looking images too. :)
EDIT: Aaaaaahhhhh. So that's what that Miku cover looks like. I gotta' say, that is one hot cover.
Oh, and I picked up my B&W order this morning. Best packaging ever: thick mil plastic cases, with button snaps on the back and comes with a with full-color poster board insert of the cover. So happy right now. :3

Yeah, B&W packaging is the best; I received my first from them a few months ago through YJA, and I was really impressed , and they've only improved upon it since then.
And that Miku cover is actually a different one than the one I linked yesterday.

My current collection of dakis stands at about low 400, which is pathetic.
Besides dakis which I collect the most, I like to buy all sorts of other stuff like Tapestries and Oppai mousepads.
In addition, I like to collect limited edition games and those cost me a bomb.
Surprisingly, I have 2 bank accounts , one for savings and one for my crazed spendings, my savings have been going up in a slow steady pace, and I always have a grand or 2 left in my spending account after all the stuff I buy every month.

You're definitely crazier than I am in spending, even if I had managed to keep a fairly similar pace for some time. :p Back when I first got into the doujinshi hobby, which lead to figure collecting, which lead to dakimakura collecting, I had just come into a fairly decent (one time) sum of money. I was able to spend lavishly without any worries for about a year or so, and the money has started to run dry; which is pretty much why you should never give a college student a good chunk of money... I'm generally pretty good at thinking things out, but I just kept spending. :P
The last few months, the money has run dry, and I've sold off a very large part of my figure collection (luckily I had acquired a decent amount of quality figures that I never opened, along with a bunch of shitty figures), and I've been selling doujinshi locally for quite some time. Neither result in guaranteed income and have been slowing down a bit as of late, but I've still been able to make enough to pay immediate balances... but I really need to get into a mode where I don't spend as much; I could probably sustain 2-4 covers a month but not much more than that. D:
