Of course, I should have figured that as soon as I requested a shipment from SMJ, they'd get a special order in. My Marks covers came in today.

That's an awesome Sena you got it. I like the expressions more in the one you just got than the older one.

The website is still blocking foreign IPs, but here's the full preview pic of the cover you were interested in Zengar:
And happy birthday BluRay!

Woo!, she looks pretty cute. But I would have prefer if they had the blond or black hair gal instead(bigger boobs)
Yah, I just saw Rias Senpai's dakimakura being done by Evening call, and it looks good to boot!
Come on! Get paypal up, I'll be throwing money into that bottomless pit of theirs.

I really like that purple haired chick, may have to pick her up. Not sure what I think about the finished image of Evening Call's Liliana. If they introduce Paypal soon, I'll definitely pick it up, but I don't know if I'll order it if I have to go through a proxy. Just doesn't appeal to me as much as the rough image did.

Hahaha! No kidding. I just blew 49,500 on 4 covers! What was I thinking!?
Actually, to answer my own rhetorical question, I think that it's the thrill of buying a cover. I love it! For me it is so much more exciting hunting the cover down, going in for the kill and buying it than it is when I actually receive the cover in the mail and open it. Once you open the package and lay it out it's like all of the anticipation, all of that that anxiety, the rush, and the constant checking of tracking info, it all sorta'...deflates.
Anyone else like that?
EDIT: And I hear ya' on them bigger boobies, ZZ. >:3

The anticipation is certainly a lot of the fun, but it doesn't always deflate. Either one meets all my hopes, or I find out I like one far more than I expected from the preview shot. If they all (or even the vast majority) resulted in deflate I wouldn't keep up with buying them I think, but as long as there's a reasonable amount of gems that continue to keep my fires burning even after arrival I won't be able to stop.
And yeah, I'm much more into the bigger boobies (and asses) too, though I can certainly appreciate a cute lesser endowed girl too!

Yah, I agree, Liliana doesn't look as appealing as she did in the pre-color art.
And, Yokkata seems to be tad more expensive then SMJ.
I try ordering 2 of Tony's daki's which I was quoted 26700 yen
However for SMJ, typically, it's roughly about 1.29 times more on the actual cost of the item. In this case, 18900 x 1.29 = 24381 yen.

Interesting, I just always figured Yokatta was generally cheaper (pre-shipping) for special orders. The general system I use to guesstimate SMJ auction cost is to drop two zeros and use a multiplier of 1.6x. So a 35000 bid, I guess at around $560. It's fairly accurate, but seems to deviate on really cheap/expensive auctions; more expensive auctions can drop down to around 1.5, while cheaper auctions can jump up to 1.7/8x.
Edit: I'm with willowywicca on anticipation. I absolutely love the hunt, especially if it has been a cover I've been seeking for months; to finally have it as Won on my SMJ page is a tremendous excitement. But I seriously love getting a big (10-20 cover) order, and meticulously emptying every item from the box, lining up all my covers, and then just choosing which one I want to open first. The ritual can easily take me an hour, and sometimes I save a few to open later. I'll admit that after this is completed, I don't really do much with them, but it's a very euphoric hour.
There have been disappointments, where I was either very hyped or expected even a bit more than was delivered. But it doesn't happen too often and I generally have a good idea of what I'm getting. And there have also been some really pleasant surprised; covers that I either had no idea what to expect or didn't expect much of; some of these have ended up turning out amazing and have earned a spot as a favorite.
And you guys are crazy. Small boobs + massive ass is clearly the best combination. :3

Hmm that sounds unreasonably high of them, they may have made a mistake in calculating it, maybe ask them for a cost break-down on why it's so high.

I like erm big, soft and squishy. They make nice head pillows too.
I was surprised as well, back when I ordered my carnelian daki and tapestry, I didn't bother because SMJ couldn;t get it for me. This time round I'm rather surprised of the cost of the item.
It seems auction wise they maybe cheaper if they stick to their 700 yen+10% commission.
But god, it seems way off when their shop orders are clearly stated to be 700 yen.
Anyway, I just emailed them to ask.

Yeah, that's the best thing to do, because that commission does seem a bit off. Even if you factor in things they don't quote, like wire fees and such, it shouldn't be that high.

Indeed she does have lovely big boobs, but my avatar is Amata Maki.
Yokatta just being sloooow with mail atm, I'm still waiting on a reply for about 15hrs now. Not the first time for me, sometimes they reply quick sometimes it takes em 24hrs to reply >

For me, the anticpation is there at the start, but I soon forget about it as usually it'll be months before I see it. So when I get the email that it's finally shipping I get ecstatic. Seeing the image for the first time is probably by peak, and actually having it in my hands is probably a close second.

It looked like Astrea for some reason.
I inclined to believe they are screwing with me, they just replied me telling me the correct total is 20400.
How they arrived at 26700 is totally beyond me.

I sincerely believe Yokkata are complete cheats, they throw down their service charge as they feel like it. I've got segements of 2 separate mail (including my recent one) as proof.

If their shop order was clearly stated as 700 yen for up to a maximum of three items, why was I charged obviously more then double what was supposed to be the shop order fee.

Hi,
Was wondering why is the cost so high when your website states shop orders to be only 700 yen. And both would cost 18900 yen without your charges.
Thanks!

Nothing beats this, I hinted on having an explanation, but they simply say the supposedly correct amount which is wrong again BTW, it's supposed to be 20300 not 20400, It's not the money, it's the principal.
Even though SMJ is expensive they give detailed breakdowns for their charges.

There's internal shipping cost and then a wire fee. Though they never explain it. I think it's stupid as hell, so I always have to ask them to break down the cost of each fee in another email.
The lack of a UI, imo, is stupid. I'm happy when amiami actually added a long needed UI, but with Yokatta, there is literally no way to keep track of when they've received the stuff you've requested. It's way too informal.
Also, the guy (or one of the guys) who runs it, has a bit of a temper.

My biggest criticism of Yokatta is definitely the lack of a user interface; which is really funny, as on their Twitter page they pump it up as one of their better features. The lack of detailed invoices is a bit of a pain, but honestly, the 20400 you were quoted was within reason, even if it seems like it's off a bit.
Can't really explain the Carnelian order, but the shipping fee was 500 at minimum, but I don't recall if they're based in Tokyo or not, so it could have been more, with the wire fees and such that BluRay mentioned. It's likely still within reason.
The Tony covers was a definite mistake on their part the first time around and I have no idea how it happened; if you had paid it, hopefully they would have realized the error and corrected it, but that's a pointless discussion as you pointed it out to them to begin with. I will say that in their defense, mistakes definitely do happen; SMJ recently billed me for an extra $50 they couldn't account for, and a quick email fixed the problem.
Either way, despite the detailed invoices, I'd say that calling them "complete cheats" is a bit harsh.
