Dakimakuras anyone?

I can understand how he feels, I would assume the 700 yen fee would include the wire fee and such and if it doesn't include it they should state somewhere what the additional fees are for.

My biggest criticism of Yokatta is definitely the lack of a user interface; which is really funny, as on their Twitter page they pump it up as one of their better features. The lack of detailed invoices is a bit of a pain, but honestly, the 20400 you were quoted was within reason, even if it seems like it's off a bit. Can't really explain the Carnelian order, but the shipping fee was 500 at minimum, but I don't recall if they're based in Tokyo or not, so it could have been more, with the wire fees and such that BluRay mentioned. It's likely still within reason.
The Tony covers was a definite mistake on their part the first time around and I have no idea how it happened; if you had paid it, hopefully they would have realized the error and corrected it, but that's a pointless discussion as you pointed it out to them to begin with. I will say that in their defense, mistakes definitely do happen; SMJ recently billed me for an extra $50 they couldn't account for, and a quick email fixed the problem.
Either way, despite the detailed invoices, I'd say that calling them "complete cheats" is a bit harsh.
I agree with mistakes happening occasionally. But it's hard to accept it when they refused to tell me the reason behind it. How on earth can you mistake 20400 yen for 26700 yen. Thats a whole 6300 yen difference. Like I said, it's not the money, it's the principal. I'm ok with 20400 yen, problem was I got SMJ to get it for me when they took so long to reply me. It's unacceptable when they can reply me so quick when I want to place an order but so long for a reply, an unsatisfactory reply in fact.
For the record, SMJ has made a mistake in billing me before, but at least invoices are always detailed, anything amissed can be easily identified and rectified.

Every seller is different and probably has a different batch of fees, so they probably can't include them all. The 700 yen is Yokatta's commission, whereas a wire fee is a fee required to complete the transaction, in most cases. If it were say, 300 yen, that would be unfairly taking away from Yokatta's already low commission.
I absolutely agree that they should have more detailed invoices before they ask you to pay, though.
ZengarZanvolt:
Yeah, I can't agree with you enough that detailed invoices should be introduced, if just to protect from misunderstandings on either side. I don't know how a 6300 yen mistake happened, but it did, and even though you didn't have a detailed invoice you were able to easily spot it.
I'd say that it's important to remember how easy it is to get spoiled when Yokatta replies quickly; they do request 24-48 hours for any reply. In my experience they have always been much quicker than that, but I have had some responses take at least 24 hours.

Trust me I've been there, ZZ. So I feel your frustration - feels like you've been cheated and you just want to shake the s**t out of the person who made the "mistake," right? But yeah, mistakes do happen. So even if they were trying to be shady, at least they now know that you're not a sucker. It is almost Friday, so everyone put on their happy face. :)
I have some pics to post later tonight of that Ask Nodoka Manabe (K-On!) cover I bought from Mandrake a little over a week ago. I swear, their turn around time is phenomenal! Was bummed to find out that it is censored though. Such a let down. Oh well, still hot! :D

Was it fluid censoring? That seems to be a common method use by HOP.

Hmm, going off that image there actually looks like there's a slight mosaic near the top left mixed in with the fluid. That sucks if that was on the end product. :/

Yeah, and it is actually a lot worse looking on the cover than it is in the picture.
I'll show ya' later tonight when I get home.

That's really unfortunate then; I only have one or two HOP cases, but I don't think I've ever run into that problem with them.
On a more positive note, I should be getting my SMJ goodies today, and I'll finally get to see what my expensive Miku looks like. :3

A censorship on top of another censorship. That sounds bad.>_>
Anyway, in regards to Yokkata, I did purchase my carnelian items using their service and ti seems some people have received their stuff already. Hopefully, I get a quick notification or something, I'm eager to know how much they charge for shipping.

Oh no, it isn't like a defect or doubled up censorship (one on top of another). What I was getting at is that the image is small on a monitor, but a little larger than life in person. So the way it shows up on your screen looks a lot different and a little more promising. It is the exact same cover as the one in the image.

I think he means that they used the mostly acceptable fluid censorship method, and then tossed shifty mosaic on top of it.

Just got my package and some first impressions:
Blankets are awesome. Lose a bit of image clarity, since the blanket is nice and fluffy, but it's still really nicely done. It's bigger in scale than I was expecting, and luckily it doesn't cut off like the image suggested; it's not as detailed compared to a standard Marks cover, but there is a slit.
The Yasuomi-Craft loli case I got was a bit of disappointment, mostly because it's a standard size case. Still, it's quite nice and I'll upload some pictures and PM them to anyone who's interested (considering it's definitely loli and not borderline, I won't be posting it in this thread.)
The two posters I got, though smaller in scale than I would have preferred, are really nice.
And now for Miku. :3
Edit: I think I have a new favorite cover.

Nice! I can't wait to see the blanket and shoot me a message with the Yasuomi-craft cover. I'm curious to see. >:)
I love the detail on the Miku cover, but something about this cover doesn't set right with me, and I think I just figured it out. Sorry, I hate to be the fart in your soup bowl, Shash', but I think that it has something to do with her legs being so goddamn far apart without being spread. It drives me nuts! That and her eyes on the backside of the cover look lifeless, but I'm all about the explicitness.

I wasn't too sure on the legs at first, but after looking at the way the knees are bent it makes sense to me; it's mainly a problem of it being on a 2D case more than anything, I think. I don't see how you'd be a "fart in my soup bowl", though. :P Everyone has different opinions and tastes on things, and what matters is that I like it; dakimakura collecting is definitely a hobby that a lot of people would probably look down upon, but I couldn't care less about that. Similarly, if a fellow collector doesn't like one of my particular covers, that doesn't phase me in the least. I don't really see the look as lifeless, but it's actually one of the things I like about the cover. :3
I've put everything away for now, but I'll take some pictures of the Yasuomi-Craft cover later. The blanket will probably have to wait awhile, because I don't have enough space to hang it up and I don't really feel like laying it across my bed.
On another note, the Tony cover is really hot; if anyone was flip-flopping on it, I'd recommend it. I definitely regret not waiting, as I could have almost gotten two for the price of one (and 2WT no less), but Smooth Knit is passable and it was worth the risk of never getting the cover.

Hmm yeah the legs on the front would bother me a bit I think, but I quite like the eyes on the back. Overall a very nice Miku!
Yokatta doesn't have my carneliand daki still either ZZ.

Pretty nice cover, but I agree on the legs looking funny.
But I'm waiting for a price drop,39k is still pretty expensive.

Eh, I guess I'm either not seeing it or it just doesn't bother me. Anyway, I'd agree that 39k is absurdly expensive; I paid less than that and it was still absurdly expensive. Curious as to how the versions differ now that we can more or less confirm that the sides on both are the same at least; the facial expression on the side we know they have in common looks pretty similar. So I guess, if anything, it's probably in minor details like fluids and such, and possible the facial expression on the back side, like the Homura cover they did with a normal/ero version.

My bed is a queen, for reference. The blanket covers all but maybe 3 inches on the left.
