Dakimakuras anyone?

The C.C. cover (assuming you mean this one) was released by Movic and is a smooth knit. I'm not sure if there was a taiwan release of a different material or not though.

The one on the right is released in Taiwan.

The one with the epic ass did get a Taiwanese release too, I'm pretty sure. I remember vaguely reading something about it, and there was a sudden influx of legit looking covers on YJA at a fairly reasonable price.

And yeah, that's the one we were talking about. I guess I could have just checked the dakimakura blog to see what material it was supposed to be, but going off memory I was pretty sure it was Smooth Knit. So instead of doing that, I just pulled out my copy and it read Polyester 100%, which could be Smooth Knit and a few other types too.


On another note, I was wrong about my guess of the newest batch of Evening Call covers going up after the current batch closed; they're available for preorder now and are open til April. Still, doubt many of us will jump on it until they introduce Paypal... the promise of no proxy fees is too good to pass up. :3

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. The auction was clearly a officially released Taiwanese one, all sealed and a good seller rating. It also had a epic ass, (The dakimakura on the left) It was detailed as "Tricot Touch ". Origin: Taiwan

I'm confused now though. Did I buy a really legit looking bootleg?

Evening Call covers seem nice.

Yeah, it's probably an official Taiwanese release; not many bootlegs would go through the trouble of creating a fake label with foil sticker. The packaging is slightly different than the Japanese version, but I wouldn't expect it to be exactly the same for a product that released at least a year later and in a different country.

And yeah, Evening Call is one of my favorite circles; definitely in my top 3. I currently have seven of their covers with more on preorder (and even more than I want to preorder.)

Well its not too hard, just hire a proxy service, some proxy services will even write the description for you. Either way, you'd make profit if you got it for 22k like you said. You'd just want to make sure to say its a Japanese release, and authentic.

Yeah, that's true. Just never really thought of using a proxy service to do the reverse, which is strange considering how much I buy using proxies. I may look around and see what type of rates some services offer.

There are currently a fair number of Yasuomi-Craft covers up right now. Unfortunately, all of them are expensive, and only one is 2WT (the rest are SK.) Still, it's always interesting to see them when they go up, considering how rare they appear to be:

Hey guys, got a quick question. I plan on getting that Rias from Evening Call that just went up, but I also plan on getting her near the end since the proxy I use requires upfront payment (or hoping that they add PayPal before then). I know that these pre-orders have a start to end date, but is there also a hard number that they take? For example, if the hard number is reached they'll stop taking pre-orders before the end date?

Reason I ask is I don't want to wait too long on Rias if there's a chance she'll end before the end date.

You'll be surprised, the Taiwan official release was really cheap. 2 and a half years back, I bought it at anime merchandise retailer for 100 bucks and it came with a free pillow with it.



It really depends which proxy you go with, Yokotta is cheaper but requires you to pay upfront before the buy the item for you.
SMJ is a bit pricier BUT, they will get for you the item first prior to payment and you get 2 weeks to pay it off AFTER they sent you the invoice.
You'll be pretty save if you get with either proxy at the start of April(Which is a Thursday).
And Evening Call produces by Orders received, it's not printed printed beforehand.(It pretty much applies to most circles in general as well)

I don't believe there is a cap, since they're generally made order. Sometimes they'll even have a few extra in stock once they get them in.

And on the subject of Evening Call, I just sent them a message a bit ago asking if they'd have Paypal set up by the 2/27 preorder deadline. I'll let you guys know if/when I hear back from them.

Any thoughts on Rias and Lili now that they are colored?

I don't know the names of the other two characters, but I had said before that I didn't care care for the coloring of Liliana; something about her breasts just seem off to me. It is growing on my a bit however, if they start up Paypal and I don't have to order through a proxy, I may order it.

I like the red headed chick and may consider ordering her, but I wish the poses were a bit more differentiated, but at least it isn't a carbon clone clothed/no clothed and being able to see her boobs on the "nice" side is a plus.

I'm really digging the blonde chick though, and will probably order her.

Damn, they're selling covers for about $25 less than direct retail (from Moejinja) given the current exchange rate. o.O

Trying to negotiate this guy off a dakimakura that is open but not used. Damn guy charges 18000 yen for it, rejected my offers. I'll probably buy it anyways since theirs no where else to buy it. Too bad all the Yui Dakimakura's are in the 500$ zone and is pretty much impossible to get anywhere else then yja.

Yeah, at the point I consider almost any older cover under 20k to be a deal. >_>

A Light Novel spin off of the visual novel Muv-Luv. Muv-Luv Alternative, the sequel to Muv-luv, is considered one of the best top 10 visual novels consistently. It's translated too.

Her name is Kriska, one of the biologically engineered Espers. This is pretty much the only one I can find on the internet for sale, so I'm grabbing it.

Lets see how much I can make him mark it down though. After all, if you have a negotiation button you gotta negotiation at least some money.

Also, the blonde girl from purely kiss also got a daki. Wish the black haired tsundere got one, but apparently she's not liked -_-


Sometimes I dream of a Uesugi Kenshin Dakimakura from Sengoku Rance, that actually looks like her >.

Ah yeah, I saw that when I was looking for your other cover. The seller you're negotiating with doesn't like proxies, if I recall. :( Luckily you don't have to use one. :D

There really need to be more Kenshin covers, or Alicesoft covers in general, really. I almost bought the Alicesoft (official) Retia cover, but couldn't come up with the funds in time.
