Dakimakuras anyone?

Yeah, that's likely the case. Honestly, of all Japanese retailers I've dealt with, Mandarake is probably my favorite. They've always been extremely helpful and fairly willing to accommodate any specific requests I've had. I feel pretty bad most of the time because I usually take the full five days to pay, and may request additional items be added to an order depending on their updates.

This is like the 10th time he posted it, and he only lowered it by 3000 yen. With no high res scans availible, it seems like my best chance is to hope the anime will make the series popular enough for new dakimakura's of it to be released. Hopefully he will lower his price to around 30000 yen by June or July. (Their is no selling fees on Yahoo Auction, unless you actually sell)

Anyone let me know if they can find it, even if the chances may be slim.

I'll keep my eyes open, but the chances are generally pretty poor. Whenever I'm really hunting for a cover, I usually bookmark the search terms on YJA and. Mandarake. So in Japanese, something like a bookmark on Yja/Mandarake for both "series dakimakura" "character dakimakura". Then I'll click the bookmarked tabs several time a day to see if anything has popped up; between mandarake, general yja, and adult yja it makes for six tabs.

Yeah, I just hope the Total Eclipse anime becomes popular enough to make them do a re print or a new dakimakura.

Also, rakuten auctions sometimes has good stuff, often cheaper then YJA. I don't know how they're membership works though. I've seen rare dakimakura's go for 8000 yen their.

Yeah, I check rakuten sporadically, but they usually don't have what I'm looking for often enough to justify a bookmark.

That's the problem with Rakuten IMO.
You can find really good deals, but it's too rare, and a small amount of items.

Sometimes I hate YJA though, the sellers list it as Chuuko (Used), but then in the item description it says Unsealed, Unopened.

Yeah, they pretty much do that to cover their ass, i think. Though the actual item may be unused, they're technically the first(or later)owner and there may be damage/scratches on the bag. So while the actual item is fine, the state as a whole could be described as used. That's why I very rarely pay attention to the listed status and focus on the item's description.

I think we know most of the time that used simply means they opened to check the item, which is what happens most of the time. Those items declared as used in the description is what we look for anyway.
And Japanese people are particular with used items, as most used dakis have very low bid/buy now prices.

Yeah, mostly. Though there are cases where the description explicitly says sealed or unopened, there are also the times you get "opened to verify contents", but both usually toss in the used tag.

And I don't think so. I never saw any up for auction myself, and Mandarake posted two, which both sold out.

That dakimakura of the braided girl (don't know her name) is really cute. That stare on the front image is kind of mesmerizing. Is she an original character?

She's from a hentai series, I think but I'm not positive. And yeah, that's exactly what I meant.

It really is a nice dakimakura though. Even though I don't know the character, I really like the design.
Edit: Found the image for it, but it is around 600x800.
If you really wanted it but didn't want to pay, just vector it and have it custom made. It's not too hard to vector when you get the hang of it.

Yep, that's it. I linked the image for Zengar a few pages back after he mentioned really wanting a Luka cover, and he really liked it. Then I just found the auction for it the other day, so I figured I'd link it for him. I almost preordered it when it first came out. The circle did another Luka cover with it, and I really like one side on each cover, and would have bought one if I had could have gone with both sides I liked. The character is Luka from the Vocaloid series, I'm pretty sure.

No worries, it's definitely one of the best tools we have available to us and I must check it about 100+ times a day. >_> I just generally assume that everyone who goes through this thread is aware of it, so if someone doesn't know about it they're really missing out.

That's a really nice Luka. She is very well done, very cute. I like how she's kind of glossy.

The blog has really become my main website. I visit it a lot more often now just because I don't want to miss out on anything. The downside to dakimakura is if you miss out on the pre-order you're going to end up paying a fortune so I'd rather make sure to get them while I can.
