Dakimakuras anyone?

Yep, that's the mentality a lot of us take. On the downside, it can be really expensive on the month to month, because you're preordering so many covers so you don't miss them later. In the end, you either preorder them all and are completely broke, or you have to make hard choices and decide which ones you really want and guess which ones will be most expensive at auction.

But come on

lol, indeed shashin. I tend to try to make the hard choices.. but then give in when the deadline is nearly up and order anyway even when I decided I shouldn't before ;( Like that Sena from boncool that's getting a rerelease, I was thinking not to, but now I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up getting it.. no self control :(

Yeah, I'm the same way. Though I really do need to cut the spending because I really can't afford it anymore... somehow I've survived with it the last few months and have yet to cut it, though. >_>

Really like both those covers; I'm pretty sure I considered ordering both at one point but didn't end up picking up either; really like the first one a lot, though. And I couldn't help but laugh at your reply to the first comment. :P

You still amaze me in so many ways though.

Anyway, thanks for the Luka Link, but I saw another Luka daki from the same dood for 22k . How does it look like?
And why is Luka so pricy, most of his other stuff are below 20k.

The other one has Miku on the other side; it's the other Luka cover they did that I was referring to when I said I wish I could have chosen a side from each cover to make them one. If I could have taken side two from the first cover and the Luka side on the second cover, I would have bought it in a heartbeat:



Er, actually, it's slightly different. I think I remember now. The image I just linked went with a tamer version, that had one tame/ero side on each. Or something, I don't remember. >_> Still, I'd imagine the cover looks similar to that, just without the condom.

Anyway, I got a set of new daki from AmiAmi . And it's made of AJ's 2WT and print is awesome.Though I noticed that the artist for this daki draw smaller eyes. Never noticed it till I got it.

Ah nice, I've been seeing that one the last few days and was wondering if I should order it. For some reason, it reminds me of the (unpopular?) K-On chick that Marks did a cover of.

And yeah, the condom version is definitely the best.

I'm in the mode of making tough choices. I'm pretty much cutting myself off from all figures besides my current pre-orders and limiting new orders to ones I can justify really wanting. I'm starting to focus more on dakimakura, but since I want to also save money I'm trying to limit dakimakura purchases to one per month if I can help it.

I'm with you guys on the Luka. The condom in her mouth is great, so innocent. :D

Well, it's only 10k yen and it's a nice AJ's 2WT so why not?

Limiting to one per month is soooooo hard. But well, limiting to anything is tough ^^ There always seems to be just one more must-have cover that pops up right after you think you've already gotten everything you can afford to get that month :(

Gonna wait a few more days, but doesn't look like those hobbystock covers are coming up for sale anywhere else this time round ;(

That's why I hate using them even though they are cheaper, there's no user interface. At least with SMJ, they will update your items on your account.

Always see it up on YJA for a relatively low buyout (think there's one for 13k now), which is probably the lowest I've ever seen a Marks cover for a 2WT buyout. I actually kinda like it and may pick it up eventually, but it isn't a priority.

And someone buying that Sena cover for 40k is hilarious; I saw them when they uploaded, and was like "40k? that must be a really rare cover... wonder which one it is.... hey wait, a minute..." About two hours later, it sold. I was like "lololololololol"

Oh, you meant Tachibana Himeko. This version is the web order variant. There are 3 variants, I have the web order and one of the comiket variants. The comiket ones have a completely different pose with the other comiket version having some bondage gear on her.

And yes, the new cover is awesome indeed.

Bondage gear? I like the sound of that. That seems to be a somewhat common them with their variations, to some extent. I have their Sakura pregnant version and I see the Yui (I think it is? I don't know K-On characters for shit other than Mio and Azusa) rape version all the time (I'd probably buy it if it were cheaper.) I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for the bondage version of the Himeko cover.

I hear you all on the limitation of spending. I just blew a metric s**t-ton of money over the last couple weeks. I don't even want to think about it. Good news is I'll be getting a good chunk of money back on my taxes. But I will be using it to pay off Evening Call. Which is sorta' funny.

Friend: "Hey, what did you do with your tax return?"
Me: "Me? I uh...I invested in textiles. Yeah, that's it."

I dread having to ever explain the full extent of my collection to just about anybody.
"Hey, it's one of those weird Japanese pillow things. Aren't they really expensive?"
"They can be. On average they cost maybe $100."
*Person sees extent of collection*
"Uh, how many of these things do you have?"
"About a hundred? I don't know."

Man, I wouldn't let anyone find out I have dakimakura's. I hide them when someone comes.

I was telling Shashin yesterday about how a few of my friends found one of my smaller covers once. Totally had to play it off; hard to do, but I think I handled it nicely. Now if they saw any of the HarthNir covers I have, let alone find out that I have two of each...oh man, that would just plain suck. I think that I would probably look a little something like this:

Yeah I don't even bother telling anyone how much stuff costs. It's not that I care what they think, I just don't want to deal with any of the questions or lectures. Just looking at my room you can easily tell there was a lot of money spent, that's all you need to know.

The only time I told someone how much something was worth is when I sold my two dollfie's. I told my friend who was ragging me about them how much I sold them for. Of course he was shocked, but I didn't tell him that even though I sold them for about $1.5K each I lost about $500 total from the amount I paid to get them. He thinks I made out good.

I also don't really care about hiding anything, including my dakimakura's. No one really comes in as we usually go out or go to my buddy's house, but when anyone comes I don't get worried. If anything I'd be worried about all my posters that have Saeko and Satellizer half naked and in compromising positions more so than I would my figures or dakimakura.

I know what you mean about the posters, I have my Satellizer (the one with her half wearing a red bikini) poster behind my door.
Btw I have been meaning to ask but I noticed some people here have their Dakimakuras in plastic on display, did they come like that or is there a bag i can order for them?
