Dakimakuras anyone?

Yeah, dakimakura covers most always come shipped in a plastic sleeve of some sort. They aren't the best, or most durable sleeves, but they get the job done.

If you have dakimakura covers and don't have them in sleeves or something similar while not on a pillow, and are also looking for a way to store/display them, then I would recommend something a little more suitable; try storing them in a dresser drawer or buying a big 'ol plastic tub from Target or Wal-Mart. You can also looking into buying some slide-lock plastic bags: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/496288209/clear_pvc_slide_zip_lock_plastic.html which I am actually looking into doing myself, because they have a nice thickness to them. Or you can do some digging here and perhaps find another plastic bag storage solution:

The upside to a button-snap and slide-lock plastic bag is that you really going to wear out the button or slide like you would the slim adhesive strip on the plastic bag that most covers come in, nor are you going to break the bank buying them. ;)

Yeah, as Kobun said, they generally come folded up in a plastic bag, where you can usually see the face and maybe a bit more. If you're talking about entirely unfolded and on display, I've never really seen that myself and that would be a setup someone did themselves.

If I somehow can't fold the dakimakura back up into the plastic bag, I usually use a bigger ziplock bag to replace it. The ziplock bags work good. :)

You know, real friends would never make fun or ignore you for what you do.If it doesn't involve harming anyone else in any other way, I see no reason too.
I have had several of my friends come over, and my dakis on my bed and my ero tapestries are all over the room. Most of them like anime a lot, and they sort of admire the fact that I'm willing to spend so much for them. My best friend, who's a very normal guy, never ever complains or questions what I have, basically he respects what I like to do.
Of course, there would be a different case if I ever had something with a huge bursting dick.>_<
As for one or 2 girls that came to my house, they jump on my bed and hug my daki, I freaked out.~_~

I probably wouldn't mind sharing my hobby with friends/family, but I choose to keep it under wraps for the time being. My best friend knows the full extent of my hobby and is cool with it, he even likes dakimakura covers but I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy that I have so many. I'd rather not tell any of my family members about it, but if it were to come out I don't think they'd shun me or anything along those lines. :p

I don't like to hide things from people.All my family knows about how crazy I am, they never say a word about it.

Anyway, here's a guideline, if you were want to hunt down the elusive bondage gear variant.
Basically it looks almost the same, minus the bondage gear, the bondage gear one has a black cuff on her raised arm. From this, you can probably tell why the web order version isn't very popular.

Ah yeah, I can definitely see it. Though I still do like them both, and for 12k yen it's not a bad price at all. My Marks stuff is actually in SMJ storage right now; I'll probably hold off on it for awhile unless it autoships (since it has technically been 110 days or so and that's what they base it off of versus actual storage time.) Happy that the Erio I'm getting is the fully nude version.

My friends are quite different. None of them are interested in Anime.

Pretty much how it is with me. I'm often called weird, but I just turn it back calling him fat or chunky. With all my friends when we hang out it's hanging out and tossing out insults, usually ganging up on someone for the night.

I laugh though, as it's probably the same for a lot of people. My friends don't watch anime, poke fun at me for watching anime, yet they watched Dragon Ball Z as a kid and still love it enough to watch episodes all the time. Yet they refuse to say that's anime. XD

On the topic of dakimakura, I paid for my Soniko earlier this week and she just shipped today. She'll be coming in hopefully Tuesday and possibly Wednesday as I paid for EMS. :)

My friends would probably be pretty cool about dakimakura, maybe poke a bit of lighthearted fun about them, but I've never really brought it up. None of them are in to anime really.

Craziness. Though I think it was gbatemper that just said the other day that there is no listing fee for YJA auctions, so sellers can list indefinitely without it hurting them in the least. It doesn't really hurt them to have it on hand, unless they're hurting for storage space, but the chance that someone will eventually be desperate enough to buy it must be enough... even if it takes months to sell (or never does.)

Edit: The Anko Koubou Miku cover is finally starting to come down in price a bit. There's an auction currently at 14k (which you know will shoot up) and a buyout for as low as 36k.

It's a possibility, but I'm not all that sure. If their was fee's I doubt people would re list many times without decreasing the price (I mean, why would they increase the price when it would decrease the chances of a buyer, and no one has bought it already).

It's also possible their is a selling fee, albeit probably very small if it exists.

The last possibility is that the seller is trying to capitalize on the fact that their is only 2 auctions of this dakimakura.(The other guy is selling it for 58,000 yen, with a negotiation button. Note: That seller may be hard to negotiate with, he rejected all of my negotiations >.<)
And holy shit that auction has one big ass garbage full of text.

Well, thank god I got a pair when they were selling for high 20s.

As for Miku, it's the normal variant. I prefer the ero version.>_>

You can forget about it if you're trying to lower more then 2-3k of their asking price.Another reason why I don't bother negotiating because it's a absolute waste of time.

Ah yeah, it would make sense. There may be a small fee, but I'm sure YJA probably wants to encourage a lot of listings, so there may be none... and then sellers can list as often as they want for whatever price. >_>

Heh, I wasn't even paying attention to the ero/non ero version. I don't think it's so much that there are a good number but rather they've all been listing at 40k+ and not a single one has sold in the last week or two. Of course the competition doesn't help, but all the people crazy enough to pay that much have theirs now, so they have to lower the price. Hopefully it will continue to drop even further.

Must say that the Evening Call guy(s) are really nice and friendly to deal with, there was no problems at all making an order even though I required delayed shipping due to my trip.

Yeah, I wonder how many people are in the operation; I know TAMA and TID are part of the circle, but I wonder how many others they have to handle things or if we're dealing with TID or something. I doubt it, but it would be pretty cool. I've mentioned previously, but my first cover of theirs was their 4th cover total, so I've been a fan for a very long time. They were becoming my favorite circle based entirely on their work, but it's cool stuff like this that really puts them on top.

I'm eagerly waiting for their paypal to get up and also for my Sena to arrive.

Anyway, I saw the amount of ero variants dwindling so I did the unthinkable and bought one for 38480 yen. ~_~

At this point I'm not sure if they'll be adding it to their site, but they do have an account set up. Sena got delayed slightly; she's now set to ship March 1st.

Well, at least you know exactly what you're getting. I paid 35k (and was willing to pay more), with nothing to go on but the face. ^^
