Rias and Sisters look pretty promising, why does the tail appear to be coming out of her pillow not her though oO

Yeah, they all look fairly promising, but I'm definitely going to wait until I see the other side before I make a decision. Been in a bit of an anime fix lately, catching up to shows I should have started/watched, but now that I'm more familiar with the characters they stem from I really regret not ordering the B&W Store Maria and Kobato and I'll probably order the Evening Call Rias. The Selene To-Love-Ru cover looks promising as well, and I'd like to order their Laura.

That Rias looks good from B&W, though I think Evening Call's looks a bit better. I'm a little disappointed with Black Hanekawa too. Something seems off about the art. I wonder if that's how she looks in the novel? If so, maybe she isn't that bad as I'm used to her from the anime.

Kind of curious though, wonder what they other sides of both look like. :)

I gotta call the post office tomorrow. My Sonico dakimakura was out for delivery, but I got a notification saying it was sent back to the post office to verify my address. Not sure what that was about, but kind of scary. Hope they don't ship it back as I'd freak out.

Ordering questionable material through the mail can definitely be a scary experience sometimes. I don't really worry too much these days, unless it's something loli/on a similar level of deviance, but I'm always happy when any ero material is delivered. The worst was when I had a couple of loli doujinshi/books in an order, and it took about a week to clear customs (the average time for me is 1-2 days.) I was terrified for the entirety of the time, and then it cleared and I got my goods.

Hopefully you'll be able to pick it up/have it redelivered without any hassle. :D

From what I've seen, it cleared customs quickly (possible charge) and made it to my city. So you'd think the address would be fine. I'm still gonna call and make sure just so I don't wait where they end up sending back.

It's also a big disappointment when you see in the morning it's out for delivery, expect it when you get home from work, and then find out something is a miss. Sad way to come home. :(

The absolute worst is when you're waiting all day for something, and you step out to do something, and of course they come at that time. -_-

I agree entirely; there's nothing more enjoyable than opening up a package with a ton of goodies in it.

Yeah, love getting new goodies in the mail, and always hate when you miss the delivery or spend all day waiting only for them to come at like 5PM. The one thing I LOVE about FedEx is hat their dispatch office stays open until 7PM and it is only about a 20 minute drive from my house. So in the instance that I do miss a package I can always pick it up the same day...as long as its before 7PM. Sure, it's not convenient, but at least I am able to get it the same day.

Waiting for things to clear customs is always terrifying even though they are all legit and legal items. I think that it is more of a taboo apprehension that keeps us on our toes. ;)

Also, I'm diggin those new B&W covers, but yeah, I think I'll hold out and wait to see both sides before coming to a purchase decision.

That's pretty cool with FedEx. My mail man generally comes around 2-4PM; if he has an EMS package he'll usually come between 10-11 to drop off the package but he doesn't deliver the mail then. So unless the package arrived at the delivery facility after he was already out and someone else had to deliver (it happens fairly frequently) I have two windows I can get my package at. If I miss both though, I can't go pick it up that day, unfortunately; I can either request redelivery or go pick it up the next day, which still isn't terrible, but the ability to pick it up that day would be great. I've managed to get every DHL package the same day; they generally deliver around 11 and will call and attempt redelivery in the afternoon/I can sign to have it dropped off.

On the customs side of things, the chances of your package actually being inspected is absurdly low. I'd imagine they focus mostly on problem countries, and I believe I read the statistic that they open up 1/5000 international package, though I have no idea how accurate that number is.

With that in mind, if anything were to screw us it would be our Obscenity laws, which are mind-numbingly vague/subjective; what's classified as obscene in Florida may not be in Nevada. The way I understand the law, is that it's decided by "community standards" or a group of our "peers", which in my mind, suggests that something has to go to trial before it can even be classified as obscene. Meaning if your package does managed to be inspected, and some over-zealous customs inspector doesn't like what he sees, you can be arrested for Obscenity before the material is even defined as obscene.

Now, I don't think we'd have to worry about any vanilla content or even slightly deviant content, but it's a very fine line I'd say; in my observation people in general are quite judgmental of others while ignoring their own "deviant" tendencies. I'm pretty sure there was an Obscenity case in Utah some time back regarding some type of fairly tame porn, which was almost classified as obscene by "community standards"; the defense won by showing the PPV numbers for pornography in the area.

However, the more extreme content, like loli, guro (not into it), extreme rape, bestiality, etc. is what should be cause for concern. The only case where this has been put to the test was about a year or two ago, when a guy's Mandarake (I think) package was inspected and it contained loli/bestiality doujinshi. The dude was an Navy vet, kept to himself, didn't have a criminal record and went for the plea deal; he was given 6 months in jail and may have had to register as a sex offender (I don't think he had to, but I don't recall.)

So yeah, I don't order loli stuff often, but when I do, I'm terrified until it arrives at my door.

i actually got more than 4 covers this time lol i feel special ^^ dunno what it's like to recieve a "batch" shipment like you niggaz but i think this comes close. i got 2 marks covers (fox bitch and ccs) active mover cover i BEEN wanting (that you zz already owe) some shit by pastel wing, Lose lo cover and i finnaly got my copy of angel beats girl by illust gallery. i had to buy it off auction but w/e i wanted it. plus a "bath poster" and a magazine that included a shower tapestry.
forgive me if i don't post pics but it's mostly lo' shit. the magazine is amazing, i can't read it but it has alot of nice pics =D and the Lose lo' cover included a bunch of extra shit.. a cd, some weird fabric thing i dunno wtf is for and what i believe are coasters o.O coasters?? yea weird lol

Nice cover, man. I have a bunch of special orders coming in right now, but have been fairly quiet on the auction front. I won another Marks blanket the other day and bought my first Satoshi Urushihara cover for a really good price. I'm actually still a bit skeptical about it, as it was under the 10k yen point, but the seller met all the standard criteria for a good seller (high feedback with few rainy clouds, based in Japan, detailed photos of the product including shot of washing instructions paper.) Hopefully I just got a good deal, but I'm excited about it either way. I've personally always found his art to be hit or miss, but I know he's one of the few artists that will actually put some hair down there.

In Ireland technically everything is meant to go through customs and be charged, but only about 1/10th of my packages end up there. According to the guidelines, importing anything of an adult nature is not allowed (unless you have a special license) so technically nearly every daki I order could be confiscated by customs or sent back to Japan, but it has never happened so far even for covers which had tits blatantly out in their folded state. Or even ones with pictures showing the full version. Doesn't stop me being worried every time a shipment ends up in customs though.

I have found through past experience that untracked packages have a far higher chance of being sent to customs than tracked ones. So paying that little bit more for EMS/registered SAL can actually end up saving me money over SAL.

BWStore Sena arrived today, I'll see about getting some pics done after work. Came with a small card (about telephone card size) with the artists blog address on it (and picture of part of the daki on it) and a badge also with part of the front of the daki on it.

Shas, you sure about EC's Sena being delayed till early march, there's a sold out EC Sena Daki on Mandarake, it seems.

Yeah, I saw that. It was probably a Comiket/My Wife cover; they did sell a limited number of them, and there have been a few on YJA since the event. Would be nice if I'm wrong, but I translated it directly from their homepage.
