I'm gonna be honest. Man, I have such a different taste then you guys >.<

I was gonna order a Mashiro Iro Symphony on Yahoo Auctions, till I realized that it was all marked up by 2x,3x,4x. Since I found the series was popular enough for people to make high res scans of the c78 dakimakura's, I decided to go along with a Tricot custom made dakimakura (pretty much a bootleg)

The problem with finding good deals on Yahoo auction, is that usually the auctioneer can just can remove your bid, close the auction with no winners, etc. If your looking to get a snatch good deal on like ebay, its not gonna happen.

That's part of the fun; some of us here have overlapping tastes, but that's not too hard considering how many covers Zengar and I buy. :p
Even if someone absolutely hate your covers, what's matter is that you enjoy them.

Good deals do happen on YJA every now and then, but it depends largely upon the seller. As you said, I'd imagine a good portion would cancel the bid out from under you if it was an absurdly good deal, but I've only had it happen to me once. I've snagged a few other covers a good bit below retail, and others I've purchased, for more than retail but at a really good "market" price. I've probably more than made up for it with all the ridiculously expensive covers I've purchased.

My tastes are fairly different to others here too, prefering slightly less hardcore things in general, though I do overlap a bit with ZZ given we both like huge breasts, and Shashin with the odd one or two! But that's why it's nice here, doesn't matter whether or not we share tastes exactly, nobody here is going to criticise you for your tastes even if they don't match ours. We're just all happy to be collecting beautiful dakimakura together!

It is quite rare to find a good deal on YJA, usually as long as you end up with close to the retail price you're already doing well ;< And then the added proxy fees that auctions incur mean you are always a lot over it (unless you get your relatives to receive it and send it on) even at the best of times :(

I've had a couple of good deals that worked our pretty well, even after proxy fees. Still nothing like original retail had I been able to order directly, but there aren't many places you can order directly from anyway. If it turns out to be legit, my most recent purchase is probably the best deal; it worked out to 9900ish yen after proxy fees, and I'm assuming that it was a mail order case in the 10k range (but I don't know for certain.)

Man, I can't tell you how awkward it is to have you relatives send it. Especially when your grandmother opens your package and is like "I wonder what this is???"

I share a taste in big breasts..but not huge lol. Yeah, it's pretty interesting to see the variety of tastes we all have here.

I'm a fan of huge breasts, and I usually prefer more erotic shots than just nude and covered in sweat/milk/*. However, I don't mind the more hardcore and if it's cute I'll consider it.

I don't like auctions though as they're mainly a hassle with having to deal with higher proxy fees and the fact you have to win the bid. With the amount of dakimakura's that come out I find getting new stuff cheaper and still satisfying.

Goddamn, I feel like I'm gonna hyperventilate and pass out. Just paid Evening Call $720 for 4 covers and I also just ordered that Inono cover, and have been paying off several covers and special orders via SMJ. Goddamn, so much for self restraint.

However, I do have 1100 ポイント (points) and 4600/5000 EXP on the Evening Call site now...whatever that amounts to. :/

Nice Love Plus loot! Are those 3DS cases or actual systems?

Holy shit! I didn't catch that before. If those are actual 3DS units, I never want to hear ZZ complain about how good we have it and how much money we (don't) have here in the states. ;P
But I guess any of us could probably get one with how ridiculously expensive some covers are. But two...I don't know.

EDIT: OK, I just did a little research, there are three different Love Plus 3DS units, each skinned with a different character from the game. OK, Zengar read the above. ;) That shit is bananas. If you have an old 3DS I want it. I hate that they are region locked, total BS!

Those Sena's look nice and so many of them! That's gotta be a hard choice to choose any of them and not be tempted for them all!

In truth, there are only two; the rest are just material options. SK, SK Suede, Vera, 2WR and 2WT. While I do eventually want to try Vera, I'd honestly say that only 2WT/R are probably the ones worth getting.

Shame I just purchased the Sakura and Tomoyo blanket a few days ago, but I didn't get a terrible deal on it. I really want the other blanket, and I'll probably try to order at least one of the Sena covers. But I really should exercise restraint. >_>

Yeah, I think I'll use this to exercise some self restraint, especially seeing as how I just got two shipments in (one yesterday and one this morning. Have to run some errands, but will post pics tomorrow of my latest haul (no 3DS units). ;)
