Dakimakuras anyone?

Heh, did you go an win another Miku cover? Think it's the original roika, but I can't say for sure. Haven't had any wrinkle problems with mine and it feels pretty similar to my other Anko covers.

Ah, good point. But I would honestly expect them to be the same as the My Wife versions. The web order took place before My Wife, and the roika they used for the My Wife Miku was the same they've always used. If they were going to switch entirely, I imagine they would have made the switch then. And in all likelihood, the copies they sold at the event you're referring to were probably printed out at the same time as the My Wife copies.

But if you did buy another copy, I guess we'll see when you get it and make the comparison. :P

Yeah, I like that one a lot. It's a shame I missed out on their Laura... she has such a nice ass. The finished images are up for a few more Evening Call covers; I really like the Mira and Kaine.

Kinda strange that SMJ billed me at 77 considering the rate has been at over 83 for the last day or two, but I'm not going to complain when a 71-72 rate was the norm just a month or two ago. I hope the current trend continues; I'd love to see a rate closer to the 90 end again and higher, of course.

Yeah that pic from evening call's twitter account was really tempting lol :p shame I didn't get any of those ones ;( got the rereleased boncool Sena yesterday, and should be getting an old koume keito cover which was on mandarake ~tomorrowish.. so I shouldn't be complaining about ones I didn't get I guess!

http://sengendo.a.la9.jp/index2.html actually give photographs (the images that link to .zip files instead of to the webpages for a particular cover) of what the dakimakura will look like (i.e. the samples they got back from the manufacturer). That's really nice, wish more people would do that.

Man, I can't keep up with this shit. Too many awesome covers, not enough expendable cash.

Hmm, never noticed the zip files for the actual end product, but that circle has long been one of my favorites for their awesome sample images. It's definitely the way it should be done; large scale samples with even larger detail shots.

And yeah, Kobun, I'm feeling it too. So many covers I want to buy, but I'm completely broke right now. T_T

If anything, all I want from Evening Call is Lili and Senjougahara. At least for now.

I'm getting that Rin in from Evening Call eventually, but that Sena looks to be awesome. They really do make good covers so I can see why an image such as that can be so tempting.

The Selene Yami and Tearju looks good, surprisingly. I mean the Momo didn't look that good, so I'm a little shocked. If it was Tearju alone I'd consider it, but not a big Yami fan.

But it's true. I've managed to sustain longer than I thought I'd be able to, but I've been on the edge for the last few months. Had I not been able to sell some figures and semi-consistently sell doujinshi, I would have been "broke" a long time ago. My spending has finally completely caught up to me, though. I have 3 SMJ invoices pending, the Evening Call one that just came in and the other two which are practically due now... but I have like $30 to my name at the moment. :P

I should be able to continue selling doujinshi and hopefully that will get me back on track, and I might try listing some more figures (but I've sold off all the triple A stuff already) but at this point it's unlikely I'll ever be a step ahead of the curve like I've been able to keep in the past. Especially since I've started preordering a few figures again (too many good ero figures coming out these days, Imari, Ai, the double dildo chick, etc) and I definitely don't want to cut back on dakimakura spending if at all possible. But it just isn't possible anymore. :P

And from Evening Call's current/upcoming lineup, I'd like Hitagi, Inori, Rias, Kaine, and Mira.


Edit: Speaking of Evening Call, Rei, Yozora, and Inori are up for 18k on Mandarake right now. Wouldn't recommend Inori if you wanted her, since she's available for preorder, but Rei and Yozora probably aren't a bad deal as far as second hand acquisition goes. Maybe Evening Call will have some extra in stock though if you wanted to wait it out.


Double edit: Looks like Ankokoubou currently doesn't have any plans to put their Winter Comiket goods up for mail order. At least that's the meaning I take away from translations of their site. :(

Holy crap, just seen that Evening Call Hitagi. Wow, that is amazing! I just put an order in through Evening Call. Added a note to pay with PayPal. First time trying my luck with Evening Call direct, hope this goes good since she looks so amazing!

Her outfit on the front is my favourite outfit of her. When I seen her in the anime in that outfit my jaw dropped. Just gorgeous and Evening Call has done her justice!

I added a comment in the order to pay via PayPal, just wondering how long it took them to respond to you guys?

Also just seen the Momo from syroh. Haven't ordered yet, but definitely will do so soon. She's another fantastic looking daki! She's a mid April release I believe so I can put her with my other Yokatta dakimakura. :)

That's good and bad in a way, Boo I won't get to get some cheap Duplicates on theotherhand I don't feel that bad getting 3 copies of Ankou's Miku COver.

Nah, I can't afford it. Might not even get one of them at this rate, depending on how my finances shape up over the next month.

Man, that's crazy. Three copies at the average rate they've been going for is absolutely absurd. I had a hard enough time buying one as it was, though I don't regret it one bit. I really hope they do sell them in a web reception at one point, as I would love a few more, but there's no way I'm buying another for 30k+.

It seems that ACE2012 is going to be held the day after I arrive in Japan. If there's anything anyone wants from it I can *try* to pick it up for you but absolutely 0 guarantees on success etc.. I'll be going straight for that wedding Kanu cover from Baseson, so if they only allow each person to buy 1 copy of it I won't be able to get that for anyone else. I'll probably also go for the IS Cecilia cover too.

Just tried out Matsumoto and I have to say it's like a mix of AJ 2WT and a 2WR
It's not as stretchy as most 2 WT but is smoother then a 2WR but not as smooth as AJ's 2WT, another I notice is that the print is more vibrant almost as good as AJ's 2WT.

Of course,my photos are rather bad but you'll be able to find out yourselves when you guys get yours.
