Nice set Zengar, awesome that you have the Twins out; still one of my favorite covers and I really hope IG pulls through eventually so I can get my second copy, but I'm not holding my breath. Can't wait for the Sena though, I should be getting my two in a week or so if I'm able to pay off SMJ by then. >_>

Nah, but just a friendly FYI, skyrimaddict, the reason we won't be buying covers off of eBay is because most of the covers on eBay are knock-offs which is why they are so cheap.

Hmm, actually looks pretty good. Heh, I own four of the first six (megastore 6 included) covers on the sidebar. Though my numbers drop off significantly after that, and I think I'm pegged at around 9.

Also received my Sousou and Uran cover the other day. The Sousou was about what expected and definitely a solid pickup, but pictures really don't do the Uran cover justice. Really liked the tone of the hair and such that's hard to see in the pictures, and her body is absolutely delicious.

Looks pretty good. I had purchased the C81 set; the Sena poster is just too damn awesome.

You know the worst part about combining orders? Waiting such a long time for them all to come in stock. I'm going to end up with a windfall of dakimakura in May, but such a long wait. :(

The Hisai cover looks really good, but I'm holding back until I get my Hitagi confirmed. Still haven't received an email from Evening Call, so a little worried. Gave them another email, hopefully I hear from them soon. Reservation is until the 24th of April so I'll wait a bit longer before just giving Yokatta another hit.



Sounds fun, I know when I go it'll be mostly shopping. :P

Yep, it's both the best and the worst thing about using SMJ. I requested shipping for an order the other day. The plus side is I'll be getting around 8-9 dakimakura covers. The downside is that it's an accumulation of about 5 months worth of purchases. There will be an absolutely glorious moment when I open the package and pull everything out, but it's hard to decide if that amazing payoff is worth the anticipation I've had to go through.


Hmm, that's a bit strange on Evening Call. I wouldn't be worried yet, since you still have plenty of time to preorder; maybe they're just busy. You signed up for an account and put in the order through their website, right? If so, try checking the status of your order in your account section: log in and click your account name (with the star next to it.) That should bring you to a screen that has pending orders. Click your order number, and that should show you if they've replied to anything yet. Think you said you included a note about Paypal, so you should see that message near the bottom of the page; if there isn't anything under that, then they haven't replied yet but if they have you'll see a message from them there.

Still searching for that Hinagiku dakimakura, I got to keep looking or I may end up missing that one day where it'll be available somewhere and I miss it.

Just noticed that AmiAmi is selling the Takumi Makura Hisasi, which means no proxy fees. The price is actually cheaper than the Takumi Makura site is listing it at, which I don't get. Is it the material used? Just thought I'd post this for those interested.

Yeah, the moment when you open the box definitely has to feel nice. It's also nice to know that the items are already paid for. I mean you get an invoice for shipping and that's it. So I guess you get a little bit of both the paint of waiting and joy of receiving that windfall.

I'm really bad though. Once I pay for something I'm always anxiously awaiting it's arrival knowing that the money has already been spent. So I never really put it in the back memory and everything is always on my mind. Always looking in my inbox waiting for that shipping notification. :P




I think they might of not noticed the note in my order since I got a response today telling me I had a message so I looked in my EC account and I see a message now asking for my address. I looked at the time and they sent email at 3:26 AM and message on the account is 3:26 AM (after converting to my local time) so seems like that ball is rolling. I'm really glad because this Hitagi probably has me the most excited because of her outfit and her pendant. :)

Yeah, AmiAmi selling the stuff is definitely nice. They've really been ramping up their efforts over the last year or so to become the absolute best place for foreigners to buy hobby goods (for more "official" goods anyway.) The material is the same, and it's probably just AmiAmi cutting into their profit margin a bit and selling it for less than the MSRP (as just about every store does for any product.)

I'm definitely the same way. I can be patient enough when I have a lot of stuff coming in and I'm not ready to request an order, but even then I probably check my items at least once a day and go "Hmm, I have this coming in next week... but I wonder if I should have them ship my other items now." Patience is definitely best, because a massive order is way more enjoyable than getting one or two covers at a time (at least for me.) Though the minute I request an order, I check SMJ about 30 times a day until the package arrives at my door. I just requested an order Sunday morning and the items have finally moved to the Shipped Auctions portion. Should hopefully get everything in a few days with Priority Mail.

Hmm, strange but good that you were able to get a hold of them. I definitely want to order some of the current batch if finances allow. Though the Scarlet sisters on B&W Store is my priority one item right now, I think.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. AmiAmi is my first choice for figures and they always have good prices for figures, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that their dakimakura is listed for a good price. Being able to get this Takumi Makura without a proxy is definitely more enticing.

You know one good thing about getting items shipped separately is the amount of boxes. I've been shipping my items combined for a while now, but I don't think I'll forget the time I came home to 10+ boxes worth of goodies at once. I was on vacation for a week so the boxes just trickled in and it was like Christmas morning. Though it was a pain opening 10 boxes instead of just one. :P

It got bad to the point where the mail person now knows me because he's delivered so many boxes to me. He would find it weird when he didn't have a package to deliver to me. :P

Yeah, AmiAmi is definitely the best spot to shop for figures these days. They also added an R18 section with their site redesign a few months back, which is absolutely great. Years ago (before I got into the hobby seriously), I'm pretty sure Hobby Search sold eroge, ero magazines and so on, but stopped when they started allowing Paypal payment. Not sure about AmiAmi, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were in a similar situation. Now AmiAmi is selling (a fairly limited) selection of eroge, ero-figures, and some other goods. It's a really nice change of pace since there was always a ton of stuff I wanted to order but couldn't without a proxy since they didn't sell it on the English site. That pretty much guaranteed that I'd shop at AmiAmi over Hobby Search, at least until Hobby Search gets with the program.

Boxes do have their uses, but I have way too many as is and never enough space. I use a walk in closet as my "hobby room" and it's in such a sorry state right now because I straighten it out as much as I can every now and then and then I get a slew of new boxes during the week when I'm busy and just shove them into the room. >_>

I had a similar situation with my old mail man (I moved about a year ago.) We were on a first name basis and he was a really cool guy. My new mail man is cool too, but it still sucks that I had to give up the awesome mail man I had. Even so, my new one has learned some of my habits and even commented the other day that he hasn't seen me in awhile because I haven't had many packages delivered recently.

Only downside to that is when a retailer decides to be extra descriptive with their customs forms. Even something like "large scale pillowcase" has the potential for embarrassment but the absolute worst had to have been when I ordered a Toheart cover from AmiAmi. They don't have them all up anymore, but it was the Maryan cover with a similar description to this:

"ToHeart2 XRATED Tamaki Kosaka Hugging Pillow Cover School Uniform 2 Way Tricot Ver."

The R18 section is a nice addition at AmiAmi, though I haven't really seen anything appealing yet.

Ouch, that's gotta be an awkward moment, especially with the "XRATED" and the "Hugging Pillow". I mean hugging pillow alone is touchy, but XRATED jsut adds to it. If he said anything I would laughed it off and show him the photos on my phone and try to turn him on the cuteness. :P

Yeah, right now I have a ton of figure boxes in larger boxes stored in a room. Getting to the point where I'm contemplating breaking them up and storing them flat because it's getting to taking up too much space. I'd never throw them out though. I never will sell them, but I just like keeping boxes like that.
