Dakimakuras anyone?

I'm thinking of getting a different one...
I'm such a sucker for any moe merchandise so I think i'll refrain this time, then again with the money I earnt I bought about everything I want or need and I have a lil bit left over this month...

I actually haven't purchased a single C80 cover, yet. Though there are a couple I have my eye on. I do have two Marks covers coming in my next SMJ shipment though; which I'll probably request in a couple of weeks.

I just got my Mark's Erio, I think she counts as loli, so I don't think I can put up pics of her. I also got 2 copies of あんこ工房 Laura and Charlotte daki and that gothic gal from carnelian to be my house next week.

if erio is the girl w/ the blue hair then that's the one ima end up getting... lemme see some pics ^-^ but now i'm eyeballing one by "no real" >.>

The Kuroko cover? I almost bought two of them back when they were still taking preorders, and now I really regret I didn't. I love NoReal covers. :(

Luckily, I'm more of a oppai person so my chocies are very few. I got Erio because I found her better then Black and White store's version.

And yeah, I saw it when it was added a couple of days ago. I had decided to pass on it since I've spent so much on other covers lately, and then it sold out. I was checking again this morning, and they had it back in stock, so I figured I should jump on the chance now versus paying more for a proxy later.

Yeah, that's the one. It was just released a couple of weeks ago; the preorder was open 1-2 months ago. I almost bought a clothed/nude version, but I figured I needed to save the money. I ended up buying more covers with it anyway, and had to pay 4000 more yen to pick it up on Mandarake. >_> Though with proxy costs an all, it may not cost me too much more.



And yeah, I'm absolutely dead in the water myself. My current SMJ stockpile is sitting at 14 covers, some of which I still have to pay for. I've purchased 4-5 from Mandarake in the last few weeks, and I have 4 covers on order through YokattaWeb (2 Illust Guerrilla, 2 Evening Call.)

I own only two and they're a C.C. (Code Geass) and...

i ordered the all nude version of charlotte by marks from their store. i placed the order the next day the store was gone. deputy service people told me it was gonna ship in august... it's almost over and i still haven't got my shit X.X that's not as bad as the illustgalleria cover i odered last november >< still haven't got ; ;

Yeah, their Nypmh preorder opened last December and it's set to ship in September... if it doesn't get delayed again. >_>

I'm actually flat broke now, I just haven't learned to cut back. T_T I did have a nice cushion that allowed me to buy without really thinking, and now that it's gone, I haven't been able to change my buying habits yet. >_>

Anyway, how is Yokkata? Are they better/cheaper then YJA?

I haven't received my order yet, and I still have to pay for shipping, but they were very responsive. For a service that relies on email versus an automated system like SMJ, things were taken of very quickly; I made two separate orders a few days apart, and both were completed within 3-4 hours. I'd imagine it could take awhile longer if I hadn't emailed during their business hours, but that 3-4 hour window included me sending a request to purchase items, them replying with the total cost (minus shipping to me), me sending payment, and them confirming payment/ordering the items.

The first order was from the Illust Guerrilla Store, and the second was from Evening Call. I asked that all 4 items be combined in one shipment, so it will be some time since one of the Evening Call items was a preorder that doesn't ship for another month. I don't have anything negative to say about their service yet, though obviously I haven't completed the most important part of my order yet.

Better/cheaper than YJA? Do you mean SMJ? If so, I'd probably say I would prefer SMJ for YJA purchases; they recently reduced their rates for auction purchases, so that they're fairly competitive, and I really like the automated system. It's possible that Yokatta would be cheaper, but it would have to hit a sweet spot, since they charge a flat 700 yen + 10% of the winning bid (and any shipping fees and such.) Though, I don't remember, are you outside of the US? One of the best things about SMJ, for a US customer, is definitely the batch shipping system that makes domestic shipping cheap. If you're outside of the US, Yokatta might be the cheaper service.

For webstore orders though, Yokatta is almost certainly the way to go, as long as I don't run into any problems with them later. Their rate is 700 yen for up to 3 items per order, plus whatever shipping charges and such. Versus the $10 + $2 per item + regular commission for SMJ special orders; the batch shipping system wouldn't even come close to making up for the cost difference on something like dakimakura covers.


And yeah, I'm always going to be hosed... I just need to stop spending money I don't have. T_T
