Today is the official launch of the FAKKU API and the FAKKU Developers website! The FAKKU API allows developers to access all of the public information available on FAKKU. The goal is to give you all of the tools you would need to rebuild any part of FAKKU that does not require authentication, all public information is available anonymously. You can learn all about it on the brand new FAKKU developer website:


There is no rate limiting on the API so use it as much as you like. All data is returned as valid JSON and can be accessed over both HTTP and HTTPS. Any valid FAKKU URL can be turned into a valid REST API call by changing the subdomain of the URL from "www" to "api", as seen in the following example:

https://www.fakku.net/users/jacob becomes https://api.fakku.net/users/jacob

I have also created the FAKKU Developers forum where users can talk with their fellow developers, make requests for additional features, and keep up to date on all changes with the API.

Exciting stuff! Working on a few enhancements for the site as I write this, can't wait to see what people come up with.

Great job on the API Jacob ^^ I've found it very easy to use so far ~ so when I get home I'm going to see if anything broke on my API programs :3 I'd really like to improve my tool tips I made with the API so I'll most likely do that as well as update the framework that makes fakkudl.net work :p I look forward to seeing everyone's applications ~

Well I can't really do something with that but I'm sure others can so yay :3

oh, that's neat.
What wondrous things I could create with this,,, I'll probably only end up making a cruddy desktop browser/reader that directly pulls content from fakku without involving needless things like web browsers

Could we get api calls' for:

http://api.fakku.net/doujinshi/random

at the moment it only returns
{"content":[]}

seeing as it's not a blank or a 404 api page I'm guessing your working on it so when ever you get a chance then I can add them to my project~

Hmm...I really wish I knew how to use this because I have some ideas but no idea how to implement them.

Still, Can't wait to see what others come up with!
