I live with cats and a dog but I must say dogs due to the fact they are loyal and can attack an intruder while cats only eat sleep and crap.

I love both but dogs have been in my life more than cats, also I'm allergic to long haired cats so there is a down to cats.

Both are freaking awesome
but when it comes down to allergy season having cats is a big pain
well, depending if you have dander allergies etc.

To be honest I love both cats and dogs. If I want to have fun I run with a dog. If i just want to relax I curl up with my kitty and listen to him purr.

Love how everyone is choose cats based on the fact they are "cute"... really? Tell how cute is going to save your life from a man with a gun, a simple meow? a Hiss? Nope, you're a dead loser cause you chose cuteness over protection. Good job dead person. A Dog, will risk it's own life, leap at the man, tear his hand or throat, or even grab the gun from his hand. Dogs also have a VERY strong keen sense of character, they can smell criminal and will growl at them, why no one my dog doesn't like is allowed into my home---specially since my Dog saved my life from an armed theif.

Cats all the way. Dogs are deal breakers, I wouldn't date someone if I knew they owned a dog. They're too needy for my taste.
