Cat person all the way. Ever since getting chased by the family dog as an infant, I am fucking terrified of dogs; dont fucking trust them.

I love dogs. I've had a dog my whole life. I remember my family got a cat once, and the cat gave everybody scratches, and my friend ringworm.

Cats NTR you by jumping to other people while Dogs... well they're more vanilla so long as you keep them happy! Dogs win... Although Cats are quite cute!

Well, depends. Based on reality, I disliked both. Dogs and cats. The main reason is allergies and I frequently tend to sneeze when I am near a certain cats or dogs. Second reason is they are quite dirty sometimes, they attract other insects and micro-organism which pollute the air in house. This also contribute to allergies. Third reason: sometimes it's troublesome to clean after them. And sometimes, uncommonly, they may break a vase or something. Since my judgement on reality is none (if I really have to choose base on reality: dogs). I changed my perspective and switch to virtual. In virtual, I prefer cats..maybe because of too many anime. Nevertheless, virtual cats are kind of cute, cuter than dog so this is one point that overtake the dogs. In the end, I decided to choose cat.

That's just unfair. When I made this thread it got redirected to an animal thread after 10 replies. And ofcourse, I choose cats.

Pets in general. I really do like animals of all sorts. Each and every one of them have their own uniqueness to them and I enjoy the hell out of just relaxing with any of them, whether it may be a cat, dog, iguana, or a parakeet.

Dogs. FULL blooded (no abominable muts for me). Germany shepards, rottweilers, Huskies, and Collies all the way. Also, i choose dogs cause they can easily tear any silly little cat apart in matter of seconds. Like to know how good your scardy-cat is against an armed man. Dog's are the most protective animals known to man, they will kill in a heart beat to keep their masters safe. No cat will do that.

I like both but that is NOT a choice with this poll.
Dogs are more loyal but require more care as they need more attention, someone to clean up after them – their waste and need to be bathed regularly. Dogs chew and bark but their barking can be limited by removing part of their vocal cords but you generally do not want to do that because a barking dog is a great anti-theft device.
Cats are more independent and require less attention. They can scratch but you can choose to remove their front claws as long as you keep them indoors. Cats normally do not scare anyone but my last cat scared almost everyone with the way it would growl, hiss and attack you if she knew you did not belong and you got too close.
Dogs can be a problem legally more so than cats. How many dog owners get sued because their dog bit someone or damaged property versus cat owners? Been there.
Since I live alone and into low maintenance I have to vote Cats.
