Subs or dubs?

Normally when I am watching something new I will watch subs. If I am eating I will watch dubs. If I am buying an anime series/movie/ova I will absolutely not buy it if it is not dubbed. I love to support the voice actors because there are some really good ones out there.

I'm more into sub, but for example if it's anime some shows like angel beats(really good) is better to be watched dub it just sometime depends, but like I said before, sub is usually(96% of the time) better then dub. :)
You could also just read the manga or read the h-manga then you wouldn't be having this argument. ;)

The reason i go with Sub it because
Most of the Dub (other than japanese) always SHIT that ONLY READ scrip with no feeling
(most of them)
if not because of that
i dont care if it sub or dub

i always go for subs... dubs are okay for some series i guess... but i find the dialogue way cheesier when its in english for some reason XD...
For hentai.. i always find the dubs to be horrible.. the " sexy " dialogue is just... its pretty hilarious actually, but its definately not a "sexy" :#

Personally, I prefer to watch an anime in subtitles the first time I view it, if possible. I would then review it by watching the dubbed version, and make my personal comparisons. Most of the time, in my opinion, dubbed anime just do not compare well against the same anime with English subtitles, both because good English voice actors are hard to come by, and also because some of the concepts of anime culture are ruined by the censorship in English dubbed anime.
Thus, why I always watch the English subtitled versions first, to acquire the complete experience one should gain from watching said anime.
I thank you all for you time, and if this was too long for you, then you must not have read it.

Its just really depending on the way they dub an anime... wehehe
like Gundam!! English Dub of Gundam series is 101% AWESOMENESS
and Full Metal Alchemist and Soul Eater was also great when dubbed in English ^_^

Dubs are God-awful in hentai and a majority of anime. Highschool of the Dead dubs are alright, and DBZ dubs are the best, better than the subs for it, our crowning achievement. Otherwise, subs are the way to go.

subs, personally i find dub kinda annoying but i guess dub is okay for anime but for hentai... SUBS

I typically prefer subs unless I saw it in dubs first. I can never watch Big O, Gundam Wing, G Gundam or DBZ subbed, it'd be like killing my childhood.

I'm for both. I've been in giant arguments over the whole "dubs always suck" thing. Like, yeah, I understand SOME dubs are bad. Many moons ago, many companies had no idea on how to dub an anime. 4kids is a prime example of this, and it's why they are almost dead today. A lot of Funimation's earlier works also sounded pretty bad as well. More recently, the D.Gray-Man dub was all over the place, but most of the time, they seem to have either very good or decent dubs. It seems the more popular the show is, the better dub it gets (FMA I'm so looking at you!).
Most dubs tend to start out bad, but as the episodes go on, they tend to get better. I remember when Naruto started, I myself, was very annoyed at the Believe it! crap. After dub Naruto's infamous catchphrase was quietly dropped, I actually met Maile Flanagan (Naruto's dub actor) at Otakon and got her to write "Believe it!" under her autograph. She just gave me an odd stare and just signed it... guess it shows that even she knew it was bad.
But to each their own. I agree on some cases some sub actors are better than the dub actors and vice versa. Such as I love Laura Bailey as Maka in Soul Eater, because she has the perfect voice for it. Her Japanese voice is loud and annoying (but not nearly bad & obnoxious as Black Star's Japanese VA, oh dear god >_<). But then on the Bleach dub for example, casting a male for Hitsugaya was just... outrageous. Plus, his sub VA is just downright amazing So, hopefully by now, you all get my point. =P

Hentai = SubsAnime = Depends, but usually dubs. The only anime so far where I actually had to watch subbed was Love Hina because the English VA's were so awful. DBZ I watched dubbed, I couldn't stand Goku's high pitched voice.

While I normally prefer subs, there are occasions where dubs have impressed me well beyond the original Japanese versions. (YYH I'm looking at you)

I used to watch dubs....now I wonder how I ever managed to stand that horrible crap. I can't understand how anyone gets distracted cause of the subs...I have watched over 100,000 hours of subbed anime (totally serious) and now most of the time I don't even have to look at the subs anymore. Hell during my bi annual one piece marathon, my internal monologue starts changing into Japanese. so...yea subs only.
