Do you prefer subs or dubs?

It really depends. Usually, I'd go for English Subtitles and "read" through the episodes. When I watch a Sub, I subconsciously change the script in my head and read it back to myself. Weird right?

I do however make an exception if the voice acting is really good on the English Dub.

subs sound so much better.

Unless it has been dubed by a professional company like Funimations, don't even bother

I like dubs because the dialogue sticks to me. I can understand it. Plus, I don't like reading subs in my head because it just sounds monotone

I'd say subs, some dubs are just horrible to listen to. Though that being said, Animax tends to do a decent job of dubs; a whole lot better than the Funimation Group. Which is kinda of expected since Animax is a Japanese Company, though even they sometimes fail at dubs.

Subs also comes out before dubs, the faster the better. :D

Dubs almost never sound good and the translations are usually off, even if it just mean Americanizing a joke. And when it comes to hentai dubs it just sounds ridiculous.

Usually subs all the way. Though there are some exceptions, like the very first classic Pokemon season which was amazing on the dubs. And DBZ, which not only had good dubs, AND a completely different (kickass) OST to go with. The English OST for it actually fits, not like garbage 4Kids does to their stuff now a days.

I'm more a sub kinda guy,but there are some anime that have ok dubs. I do prefer subs over dubs more. The subs you get this whole emotional reaction you don't get with dubs like when the say "Baka!" compared to "Idiot!". I don't know but I think Subs are better most of the times don't get me wrong there are some good series with good dubs you just have to find them.

subs are best, I've only found 3 good dubs out there, .//hack sign, dbz, and samurai Champloo. the bebop one was only so so

I prefer the watch my anime with Japanese audio and English subtitles. My reason for this is that I feel the characters flow more naturally with the story and are played better by Japanese voice actors in comparison to English voice actors. Sure, when I was a child and watched anime on Cartoon Network if felt right, but as I grew older and my access to anime was widened I found Japanese dubbed anime to just... just feel right.

I am a die-hard sub-fanboy on this one.
I have tried to watch dubs but i have either stumbled upon bad(lvl over:9000) ones and some that have done a mediocre(at the very best) job.
So yeah sub for me all-day long.

P.S.: When i was writing this, the subs had 69% of the votes. Is this a coincidence???

i have to say i much prefer sub's to english dub's, only because english voice overs tend to suck ass lol, and not match the charater

Even though there are some good dub's out there its easier to just say sub's all the way for me. The only reason dubbing works on shows like DBZ is because the mouth movement isnt highly animated so you cant tell what their saying

English dub just sound's very bad in anime... it's same like finnish dub in english cartoon for example.

Fucking stupid since the original essence isn't there any longer. It's pointless. That makes you just down to watching moving pictures and not the anime itself.

I personally enjoy both. Both have thier ups and downs. But I enjoy dubs a bit more. Plus, the sub titles take away from the show itself. You're more worried about reading words on the bottom than watching what's actually going on.

i perfer subs especially in hentai, but there are a couple good shows dubbed like Fullmetal Alchemist,Soul Eater,Bleach and of course DBZ

Though 9 times out of 10 I prefer subtitles, there are the rare occasions where the dubs are better... Like Cowboy Bebop for instance.
