Hello and welcome to FakkuDL's thread! I made FakkuDL back in April of 2014. Well to be honest it was most likely way before then I’d made many different downloaders of sorts for fakku and a few other sites. I still have the source for the first version of the downloader that would eventually become part of the current backend(It’s no where like the current version but then again still uses the same format and it still downloads files... haha). So what FakkuDL does is allows you to download the contents of a doujin/manga in a zip file. So it pretty much is a makeshift download function replacement. I know I’ve missed a handful of them but I read the error logs and I add what is missing. On another note I’ve noticed some of the older doujin have some broken images. So if you are missing a page or two and it’s an older upload sorry about that…

We do have a chrome extension(If anyone would use a firefox version I wouldn’t mind gving it a shot) that will embed download links in to the manga/doujin pages. It comes in two versions.



How to use FakkuDL

1) Take an url for example (Yes it came out in 1969 the oldest doujin on fakku haha):

fakku.net/doujinshi/its-kotori-chans-so-its-totally-okay-english

2) Now add "dl" to it the website name like so you get something like this (change shown in bold):

fakkudl.net/doujinshi/its-kotori-chans-so-its-totally-okay-english

2b) If what you’re looking for is returning a 404 page. It could be new and may take from 5 to soonTM minutes. If it’s an older manga/doujin please let me know and I’ll fix it right away. You can post it in a reply or tweet at me on twitter @fakkudl .

So I've been working on some things. This is one of those things.. I'ts a webviewer mostly for my phone because I wanted a better interface and not have hakku ads :3!

Nice app! I was actually looking for some solutions because I don't have constant internet connection. And because of cloudflare always asking for captcha lately, probably because of my ISP, it really is troublesome to the point i made a custom local page where i can download each image using IDM. haha~ anyways, Thanks for this app! and hope to see more updates and tweaks! :)

Updates to the website:
  • Well it would seem I finally got around to fixing the backend.. :3 It's something you will never notice X3

  • I did change the color of links from darkish purple(default color) to black :3

  • Simplified the twitter follow button(It's now just a link)

So as you may of noticed. I've updated the site design again. I feel this one looks a lot better then the really plan text one. Originally the text one was just a temp till I made a new one(Because the old one was kind of well... not the best put together... nor was the text one). I was somewhat lazy and put it off till now. I've tested the new design with the following.. so hopefully it looks somewhat nice cross most platforms: Chrome 41.0.2272.118, IE11, Firefox 37.0.1, IOS6&5 Safari+Chrome 37.0.2062.60 .

P.S. Oh I guess I also forgot to say we have a new logo~!

(serious talk. Due to it being paid content.. I could easily bring said content to the site but for multiple reason I decided against it: 1) the website uses a separate user account then I do so they don't have the subscription service. 2) I don't want my account on the server in case it is breached, etc... 3) It's just not right to host ripped copies of paid content.)
