Dates or special occasions. I never liked the heavy feeling of make up. Eyeliners irritates my eyes so I'm not a big fan of it like most of my friends are. Most of the time I'll just apply moisturizing lotion on my face. I'm more concern about having healthy skin than glam.

To the OP: making a poll like this without a "I'm a guy and I wanna see the results" option is just asking for biased results. I'm guessing the poll has several false "no" responses. This was the first thing I thought when I saw the options, even tho I'm a girl D:
I used to wear makeup years back, but not anymore. I think I stopped using makeup around the same time I stopped using contacts and started using glasses.
But seriously, (good) makeup is really expensive and I'm poor :< If I had more money, I think I might use makeup sometimes.
[size=6]And I dont even do anything with my hair either. I just keep it messy, and thats how I liek it :<[/h]

It's only natural for when you go out. Not heavy loads, but just some tiny touches to make yourself seem more natural. I hate to say it, but a guy's skin is naturally better looking. You'd be surprised on how many girls have to put in extra effort to match up to guys.I really don't think that using make up can ever make someone seem more natural. It may make you look like someone else when they're natural, but that's still not your natural. Still I'm not really opposed to light make-up.
There's a huge variety of skin quality within both genders. If there's any difference, it's that females tend to be more concerned about it than males.

Ah, maybe I used the wrong word here. You see, if you have pale skin or blue areas under your eyes, it makes you look more healthy if you can cover that up.

Only for certain occasions. My natural skin isn't perfect, but it has a nice tone so I'm fine with it. If I go partying or to a wedding though, I'll definitely put some on.
The most fun part for me is the eyes. I love using different colors, even if I am a newbie. I still need to buy one of those 88 color palettes. Then I'd probably start wearing it every day to try and use them all, lol.

I do, pretty heavily apparently, seeing the general answers given. I don't use a lot of foundation, but compact powder and a concealer if needed. I have a fairly white skin and very brown/black eyes and eyebrows, so I wear khôl, dark pencil eyeliner, I just draw a line on the eyelid, nothing inside (I used to but now I can't be arsed, and it makes my eyes look smaller). I also wear eyeshadows, depending on what I wear, or where I'm going. I like playing with the colors to be honest so I'll try different combinations, but it's usually not too heavy. I also wear, since pretty recently though, a VERY red lipstick, I was a bit shy about it at first, but everyone tells me it looks good, and I think it makes me look a lot more healthy haha.
Fortunately all of this doesn't cost me a lot cause I found a shop here in Europe, in Benelux at least, where you can find make up for more or less 5 euros, and all the brushes that goes with it (I hate to see my fingertips sparkle) for 2/3 euros, same for the lipstick, so I'm pretty happy about it.
I like nailpolish too, but I'm not very skilled, I can only do one color and still paint half of my fingers haha. But it's still fun to wear.
Make up is kind of a ritual for me in the morning, it's a very relaxing thing to do, it requires creativity and concentration, and for my self esteem, I very rarely go out without make up (usually on sundays haha).

welcome to the club, we are so far the only two girls really using make up ^^
I used to have very long nails and used to color them regularly but since I finished university and started working I'm not allowed anymore :(

Yeah I was working this summer and couldn't either, and they were pretty much destroyed (I worked as a waitress). Also, my nails are pretty short, and...square? They have a weird shape haha.

YES. This... makeup (at least the nice kind) is too expensive to start buying now, for me. Plus, then I have to learn how to use it, which is time I could be using to do work... ;-;
It's a cycle of impossibility~

Nah. I tried a few times as a teenager but I never got into it. It just made me feel silly.
I don't think I'm manly or even tomboyish but when I have make up on, wear dresses or high heels it feels like I'm crossdressing...

Actually, not to derail the thread... but I've heard a lot of good things about this product and was just wondering if anyone's used it.

It's an "Almost Lipstick" by Clinique, and I generally find their products pretty high quality and trustworthy. Apparently the Black Honey shade is supposed to be universally flattering.

N-no...but its a given for special occasions. For any girl to use make-up. But on a daily basis no. I'd want the expensive kind, which I cant afford obviously if I ever wanted to wear make-up,cause it wont damage your skin as much.

Yes I do, never for my skin or lips (girls' lips are delicious anyway). Mostly on the eyeslines. :D

Yup. I dont use foundation daily 'cause its like 30°C/86°F. But eyeliner is a must and sometimes I may dust a little shadow on if I'm going somewhere special during the day. That and fixing my eyebrows.
If I'm going out with friends I'll pull out the makeup bag, but I still tend to focus on my eyes. My lips are full so I'm not a big fan of lipstick. A subtle gloss or stain and let my smile do the rest. Whatever is done, eyeliner or mascara finish the look.
