Speculation is speculation. Unless you really know that is all it is. Yes there may be signs, but I love how if a girl has sex with a few different people in a month or 2 then we are sluts....but a guy does it he is a champion? To me if you actually like her then go and talk with her and learn who she is from her instead of people who are just speculating...

I think this is rooted in our animal instincts where males are supposed to spread their seed as much as possible, ensuring the continuation of their bloodline while females are supposed to be more discerning, choosing only the best mate to be the father of their child. Obviously this kind of thinking has no place in modern society, so yeah it isn't very fair.


Well if she's also almost ruined relationships, that's also something to consider. And if these stories are hard facts, it's not really speculation.

Just do what your gut tells you to do; if you have an interest in her talk to here or just stay away from the situation (you don't have to immediately fuck her or date her you know?). There may be more to this story that you don't know (all of this is just speculation) so don't start judging her and start calling her a slut just because of the things you have heard.

I have known women who have had multiple sex partners and those that have had only a small number of partners or even none that have had slanderous stories told about them. I remember even I have been called a whore once in my life (a junior/senior in high school) where a good friend of mine spread the rumor that I slept around with older men (I was dating an older man at the time, but I never slept with him). It really made me feel like scum and I even had to have meetings with some of my teachers who found this out (luckily my parents were very helpful and backed me up).

When I get to have an interest in someone (for friendly or intimate reasons) I make an effort to really get to know that person and to keep my judgements aside until I can think about everything privately. The opinions of others (depending) on what it is will be heard, but ultimately you have to go in your own judgments and gut feelings.

The only thing I can assume from that is she may be the type of person who has more than one side to her. Either has a shy and introverted front (regardless if its fake or sincere) and then opens up (in more than one way) when she has booze in her.

I have a good friend that is very innocent (has never slept with a man) and becomes very wild and flirtatious when she starts drinking. She worries me sometimes because she gives men the wrong idea or I know that she will regret her actions in the morning, but I won't be her baby sitter so I have told her about her actions and warn her to be careful.

As I said though, just tread this situation cautiously. You do what you want to with this girl and acknowledge your friends advice. At the end of the day everything will be up to you so keep a level head on things.

Also note that his is one of those situations where someone may get hurt or upset. So if you do want to talk with this girl and get to know her, don't start bringing up the rumors and comments until you know you want to be with her (this can be quite upsetting for someone if they don't know). With your friend, if things work out with this girl or if you two become friends in any fashion, then he may get upset at this fact (some do and some don’t, just depends on the person). You just have to talk with him about this in the calmest and clearest way you can or if he gets too upset then you may have to make a choice (basically bro’s before hoe’s? or vise versa lol).

EDIT: Might as well chime in on this. I'm sure you trust your friend in what he says, but if you ask me, it's best to treat this like a video game or anime: try out for yourself fully and form your own opinion.

Ask her out casually, and if she says yes, get to know her more. Then find out how she really is, then see if you can get down with that (because who knows, you might just be fine with her being a slut if she is one, though chances are small). Don't let others' opinions sway you too much in a decision that's ultimately yours to make.

Should EchoJack have not already answer, I would have said he's pretty immature to just take for sure rumors without getting to know her more personally.

At least if he was an actual "victim"... Or are those shitty brat just jealous like the ones who messed up Misaki_chi's reputation ? Sooo common within young boys who just get rejected -- maybe in order to make "sure" if they can't get the girl, then no body would try in their place. It's a form of harassment.

As for being a little free about sexuality ? It means she like fun and why not having a sex party with her and her male and female friends to get experiences you wouldn't get with sore virgins ?

As for breaking couple, sometime it just is an ideal pretext to get rid of an annoying partner you're stuck with. She may even not be aware the guy(s) was/were in couple if they did state/act as the contrary.

All to say you really lack data (and experience ?) and just let rumors blindly lead you.

I don't think that sexual partners (unless you're like the people on Maury who have 200 potential baby daddies) should make or break a relationship. If she has a history of cheating or destroying other people's relationships, then yes you definitely want to make sure that isn't how she's like.

But I think people have the bad habit of talking and spreading rumors where there might be no grounds for them. I've had people tell me "Oh don't talk to that person he's an asshat" and when I get to know them I find out, hey it's the other person just passing stuff they've heard without ever finding out.

Also people have this wonderful capability to change in life. Perhaps she's done stuff in the past she regrets, but that isn't who she is and does not define her. Same for men. I've known men who have made really bad choices, dated really bad people, then they reach a point where they grow out of it and move on to other stages in their life.

So long story short, get to know her, and base your opinions of who she is now. You might come to find she's a wonderful person, who knows? Best of luck sir!

Well, i am a guy and i think that the double standard is indeed stupid. If a guy has lots of sex with different people then he should be called a slut as well xD
