Totally agree; for public I don't like kissing in general, just because I think it's rude to kiss in public too often, and I get self conscious about it. A peck on the cheek is fine and cute.

I really do enjoy french kissing though, just not in public since you can't really hold in most of the moans too well.

You're a bit picky. But no one really just flicks a switch and knows how to french. What I did in the beginning was just copy what my partner was doing. And if you really want to turn her on, sneaking in a bottom lip bite is the way to go.
