Girl's Day is a 5 member South Korean girl group under the management of Dream Tea Entertainment. Initially gaining public interest performing dance flash mobs in the streets of Seoul, they debuted in July 2010 with the release of their first song, “Tilt My Head” (갸우뚱), an electro-pop song. In September 2010, it was announced that two members of the original lineup, Ji Sun and Ji In, would be leaving to pursue other activities. They would soon be replaced by two new members, Yura and Hyeri. The new lineup was showcased with the release of their second lead single, “Nothing Lasts Forever.”

Did Jihae really leave, or is she just taking a break to focus on studies? Either way, kinda sad she left, she was one of my faves. At least Minah's still there. OT, the new song is really nice, I like how they've matured, and how they're no longer forcing themselves to sing with those squeaky voices.

I think I read somewhere she was going to focus on her dancing. She is already an amazing dancer so maybe she wants to do some serious dancing like ballet or something? I'm not sure. I'm loving their new image as well.
P.S. I wonder why idols leave their groups as often as they do. Maybe they don't get paid as much as we are led to believe? Maybe they got paid enough already to be able to leave and focus on other studies? It seems like something they grew up wanting to do, but I guess their priorities just change...Actually I just had the idea that they probably want to start dating. :P

As for the idol thing, I guess it depends. Usually the company will take 60% or so of the profits, the rest shared among the members. Or maybe she realized being an idol isn't such an easy job as she thought it would be.

They are very upbeat and catchy, I use their fast paced songs on my workout playlists. Especially Don't Flirt and Female President.
My friends dragged me into their kpop dance group and I learned how to do Expectations. Damn that's hard on the thighs when in heels :/
