Voted for Gundam. While the grunt units would be easily defeated by the more powerful Transformers (Prime, Megatron, the like), the uber-ones would be capable of taking down even mighty Unicron, if working in concert IMHO (then again, a team o' doom made up of Turn A, Turn X and 00 Qan[t] would probably be more than enough).

Gundam for sure. I mean come on, the ∀ Gundam and the Turn X alone could take all the transformers, then we have the Gundam X, DX, Heavyarms, & Wing Zero for support fire, God Gundam, 00 Raiser, & Destiny Gundam for close combat, PLUS the F99 Recordbreaker for recon, PLUS a million Zakus, GMs, Jegans, Geara Dogas and Dark Army units from the Devil Gundam. I don't know very much about Transformers but I don't see how Gundam can lose lol.

I actually thought "are you fucking kidding me?" when I saw this thread. Gundams all the way, even if my memory of gundam is quite jaded. I still remember enough of how badass it was.
