Have you ever been mistaken for a lesbian?
0
This afternoon I went with a friend (female) and some friend of hers (also female) for drinks because this friend of my friend just had a rough break-up and what better way to get over it than to be three sheets to the wind. The reason why I was there was I am the only person my friend knows that doesn't drink and thus a great designated driver. It is about 1:30pm and there is about only 5 girls in the bar excluding the bartender (also female) and us. While my friend is commiserating with her friend on relations and I on my third Shirley Temple a woman walks up to me and begins to flirt. I was overjoyed as it has been a while since I've dated. Around ten minutes of talking with this woman I realize that she thinks I am a woman, about this time I realize I am in a lesbian bar. In my defense there was a men's bathroom. So I have to tell her the truth of my gender. This of course leads me to ask my friend of her sexuality to which she says straight but her friend is not. This would normally only be me telling a funny story that happened, except this is the second time in my life this has happened.
Has this happened to you before?

Once, by some old dude at a Wal-Mart.
Edit: Actually, when I had long hair, I was mistaken for female a few times from the back, until I turned around lol. Epic beard and hair on my arms = rude awakening

Hmm not as a lesbian but when I had a shoulder-length hair before. A guy that held the Toilet door open for me stared at me for a long time. Freaky >_<

lol! I do wonder what will happen if you got annoyed with that small talk and answered with a "Fuck you!"
On second thought. It's good that you didn't. That was wrong .......in so many ways.

I've had that happen to me. I'd be walking down the street and see what I think is a hot girl from the back view and then you get closer just to find out it's a dude with long hair and smooth skin. Not a pretty sight.

I'm a guy and I went to the movies with my sis and the person who takes your tickets said "Have a good time girls". I kinda just stared at him for a second and walked off it was a little weird...
And Caligula you should not care about what other people think and be yourself! =3

BUT I've never been mistaken as a lesbian, I don't even think so people believe me when I tell them.."I'm bi."
They stare at me like "WAH?! Your kidding right?!"
Me: "No dimshit..I like pussy."

In highschool in my freshmen year I was always with my best friend because we had every class together and one day this girl came up to us and was like "hey....are you two dating?" haha strange thing is she was super close with my best friend and all my best friend talks about is guys she dates or has dated or wants to date so I don't see it personally but eh.
But ever since Scott PIlgrim came out all my friends are saying IM IN LESBIANS WITH YOU to everyone sooo....guess everyones lessy now.

No, not that I know of. I'm pretty girly looking, not butch-like.
Though I had a phase in which I dressed in baggy clothing and didn't take good care of my hair in middle school. I was probably mistaken for a long-haired boy back then. Or maybe a lesbian.
edit: I starred in a student music video that ends with a lesbian makeout scene. I was worried that might make people see me as a lesbian, but I don't think it ever did.
