Help getting a new computer

Look at your invoice or the shopping list I gave you and you should be able to click the items that have the mail-in-rebate in bold letters and download the rebate form. Just fill it out and do what it says which is usually mailing in the form by a specific date with proof of purchase which could be a copy of your invoice and the UPC on the box. You'll probably get your money in 3 months or so.

Use "Edit" next time, snake. My bad, I don't go to the forums often so I can't recall the rules half the time.
Anyways, here's another question. The box with the motherboard seems to be lacking one cable. It's in the other room right now, but it's a thin wide cable that goes into the parallel port? not sure if that's the name, but do I need it and if so, where would it go, into the dvd burner or something? I am about half way done with the motherboard instructions, though it's getting a little hard with all the names and stuff. I've read that I can't put the usb cable into the (4 digit number)a slot, because it will permanently damage the motherboard, so I'm guessing that that slot is the one to the left of the 3 other usb ports and is red color.
Anyways, it's slowly getting put together. Also I'm not quite sure what to do with

I know I'm supposed to use one of the 4 wires that came with the mb, but which of the 4 or 6 ports that are on it, so I'm a little confused as to where it goes. Other than that, no questions so far.

The ports should be made that only a certain connector will fit into it so you won't screw anything up. The only thing I can think of that you may be referring to is a now defunct wire that connects from the back of the cd-rom drive but if you got a SATA it shouldn't be there.
Also what your referring to in the picture is just some additional SATA connectors. You can basically just plug your SATA cable into whatever fits best. The motherboard should've came with 2 SATA cables - one for your DVD burner and one for your hard drive. If you bought another hard drive then you would need another cable.

OK, a few last wires remain untouched and those are:

Top fan that has 2 wires with white half an inch wide ends. One has 4 holes inside, the other has 4 poles.
Same thing for the front fan.
What do I do with those wires?
It said to insert bootable something into the media thing... Sorry for being too specific, but it's probably asking me for an OS disk, right?

OK, the computer is set up and stuff and everything is running good. What basic programs do I need to install on it, stuff like winRAR or divX... I'm sure there are a few others that I'm forgetting at the moment.
