Help recovering Files and Datas

Eh...i accidentally deleted a file (shortcut) which i believe is use to "read" my device....the files are still there (shows when i scan it with antivirus) but when i open it on "my computer" or autorun it shows the device is empty...im using a old Sansa view Mp4 player as flashdrive (i use it to copy from my friend's PCs and stuff to make sure my external is safe from viruses) i tried downloading the device's latest firmware but still....nothing happens...any help plz....the 3gb files are important and i need to get it no matter what

I used it recover some files from a messed up CF card and one of my old HDDs. Only drawback is that you cant save recovered files directly onto the device your recovering them from according to a popup that showed up while I used it(said doing so would corrupt the data or something.)

Other than that it works pretty well.

Just so you know for the future unless you have a tool or know how to delete it completely when you delete something it's actually still on your hard drive it just doesn't show up and you can't access it unless again you have a tool or know how
