[Locked] I WATCH HENTAI FOR THE PLOT TEE and ALL SHOUJO EYES ON ME cf
0
Hey all, I've tried reaching out to the Fakku store about possibly stocking a t-shirt design of mine to no avail (didn't even get a reply, actually), so I thought I'd at least share it with the public to gain some potential support. The FutureHentai/LoveSounds tee, or otherwise known as the "I watch hentai for the plot" tee is a t-shirt design made by me and manufactured by a screen-printing company contacted by me. It has had enough success selling at local conventions (FanimeCon, AnimeExpo) that I've been able to transition to selling the units I have left online. As of now a few units are remaining can be purchased at my Storenvy shop..

What I'd also like to mentioned that is more relevant is my current crowd-funding project for my newest design, the similarly animanga-themed All Shoujo Eyes on Me. Kickstarter here. It's a much more ambitious printing project than the hentai shirt because of its all-over print size with front and back, so I've been unable to fund the actual production of it with my own money. This crowd-funding is a way to get people's pledges, but it's essentially not simple donations, but rather, pre-orders, because pledging $18 or more guarantees you the actual shirt as a reward. Through this process, I can be guaranteed enough money to make the initial order for the shirts in the first place. And yeah, that's pretty much it; there's a lot more information provided on the actual Kickstarter page so I appreciate if you check it out. Thanks!

How did you contact Fakku?
The shirt's nice and all, but there are rules against promoting/selling your own products on fakku so this will probably be locked soon :/

Just by sending a message to the Fakku store's e-mail. I wasn't aware of how strict that rule was to be honest. I figure a section of the forum dedicated to showing your own art and graphics should at least let you include a link of your portfolio or something like that; but yeah, of course if this thread becomes locked, I have no right to say otherwise.

Yeah, I'm going to be honest when I clicked on the thread and saw the shirt I was amazed.
It's really cool. *thumbs up*

I get where you're coming from, its a nice shirt, but there's a difference between showing off your work/linking to portfolios and linking to places where you have to purchase content. Basically you are promoting the sales of your shirt on here as well as your kick-starting fund, which I think is great, just not on here. As I said please read the rules and FAQ next time and try sending a PM to jake about your shirt, I sent him a message myself since the shirt is interesting.

Yeah, definitely understood. Thanks for the feedback, both on the shirt and the forum etiquette.
