Introducing the Hentai in the bedroom
0
So... I fucking love dirty comics. They're immensely fun to read casually but there is a certain something about the writing (probably the total freedom exhibited by most characters in terms of sexuality) that I think I really agree with philosophically.
Getting someone else to see that, even if they are also generally proven to be liberal in the bedroom (and I mean... liberal ;) ) can be a challenge though.
Has anyone had any success introducing Hentai (or even just dirty comics in general) to their partners? How did you do so? What was the result?
Any anecdotes appreciated!

Initially I referred to Fakku as a "forum I go on". Linked one of my posts to her, she figured I was into Hentai from the fact that it's a Hentai site, and said she had an interest in it herself. She joined and was active for a while and even saved a few mangos to her favourites, but hasn't visited since January.

I'm actually the result of someone bringing me to this site, my girlfriend knew of the site before me and had been reading on it for about a year or two. She (and a friend) convinced me to sign up. I didn't really read Hentai before they convinced me so I guess they've been pretty successful in their attempts since it's one of my general pass-times now.

I've had good and bad experiences with telling people I am close to about my love for hentai and anything videogame/anime related. The people that didn't approve or had something shitty to say about it I don't usually stay in touch with (or broke up with if we were dating) since they were never really nice in general.
My current friends and boyfriend have no problem with what I like and they are pretty awesome, I'm grateful for them. Just have to go through a trial and error sort of thing until you find people that are either into what you like or at the very least respect what you like.

Interesting that there's a consensus that you 'kinda know' what sort of reaction you're going to get. Honestly I'm pretty sure what I'll get is 'Why don't we just get some real porn?' as a response. It sounds cliched to say that it's the psychology of the characters (just total sexual freedom) that I find appealing about cartoons. It's exaggerated and larger than life and it's something that gives me a cheap thrill and gets me in the mood. :)
Keep it coming! Love hearing this discussed!

I'd say everyone has their own quirks, and accepting them is part of any relationship, wether it be a friendship or companionship.
I personally like reading them because of the stories they can tell. If I just wanted to watch sex, I'd just go watch porn, you know? ;P

Spoiler:
Sorry, I had to.
But I agree. I seem to prefer Hentai when I'm feeling like watching porn-with-plot. "Professional" porn is cheesy and feels awkward and can kill my boner with bad acting or if she constantly says "Fuck my fucking pussy with your big cack MMM YEAH BEEEBEEEE" and/or they have as much sexual chemistry as a polystyrene cup.
If I want to outright bash one off I find something Amateur. Homemade stuff is the best.

Pft-hahahaha! I don't think I could have said it any better myself. XD
I mean, I know some people look at sex as just...sex. But it really should mean more to people than just that. Besides, I'm sure it's way better when its done with someone you truly love, even if it's not "perfect".
Coming from a virgin that might not seem like much, but that's what I believe.

Totally agree about amateur. Something totally voyeuristic about it. :)

I understand this is an ol' topic by now but still, I had a story I thought I would share:
I was on holiday at my friend's house and we started talking about anime - as weird as I am I explain casually and completely straight forward that anime/manga doesn't really interest me and we get into the subject of "Naked Art" (for those that doesn't know what this means it means that the artist in question draws, write, create in general a character that normally would have clothes to fit in a socially acceptable standard but the artist went for the honest view of "This character doesn't have clothes - period!") and we went on to me explaining why I find hentai to be a more honest form of story telling: it is honest, and rather transparent considering there's not much clothes most of the time! xD
The thing is tho' that introducing hentai to someone with the purpose of introducing it to them 'as' hentai as opposed to 'an interest I have' are two different things, and these doesn't actually overlap due to there being a difference between getting someone else to do something and doing it yourself and then telling people about it.
So it depends on what yer' refering to but I'll take my two takes on it either way:
If you want to introduce someone to hentai, the best way would be to find an interest both of yer' share that you can relate to anime or manga. And after that, make sure that the person is exposed to hentai in some aspect - could be as simple as you having an echi-style of picture or anime yer' show to the said person and then talk about it not being porn and so on going onto the subject of hentai.
After that, it would be a hit-or-miss situation. This should in theory work for friends and folks who are interested in cartoony-like stuff - if its your girl-/boyfriend then just put it out there and see what happens (sorry, no experience in terms of relationships so no idea how that would turn out ^^').
In the way that you want folks to know your stance on hentai... just say it as casually and straightforward as you can and just explain any questions that pop up - its sort of the same idea as asking someone to watch porn with yer' or any other thing except you have to be very specific about what hentai is for yer' so no weird confusion starts.
But I would say that it would only make sense to introduce hentai as a subject you like/enjoy if you want to have a discussion or some other stuff about that so... yah', I wouldn't really be that concerned about it being necessary.
Sorry if its a weird reply to a month ol' forum post! ^^'
