Is Hentai Blocked in Colleges?

I'll be going to a public college next year and I'm wondering if it is common for them to block hentai sites?

Well, it depends really. I visit this website from my college's wi-fi from time to time. And there isn't any problem.

You shouldn't have an issue. I've used my college's wifi all this time to go onto fakku and have never had any issues. Even if something were to happen, all you would get is a warning from the school (they wouldn't expel you for something so minor).

Depends. The college I went to blocked Social Networking sites and porn sites.

Mind you our definition of "college" is just classroom-based higher education.

I went to a public college and it maybe blocked stuff on their own computers, but never had a problem on my computer with wi-fi.

[color=#993300]I've been to a few where it is, but who said it had to be blocked. If anything, I usually work around the block (proxies and what not). Most of the time, they don't. Nevertheless, as long as you don't start doing illegal things on the internet, they probably won't mind you going around internet blocks

I went to college and I masturbated to porn in a public computer room once or twice, lol.

I don't know much about other colleges but of the 2 I went to for a time (one community), the community college got in to trouble when a person was viewing pornographic material in class. I don't remember if it was on the pc or something they brought from home, but someone who happened to see it, blew up on the school and tried to sue them and the school over it.

Or so I was told... Honestly dunno if that would happen, I know they're people who would go out of their way to make a big deal out of such material, I hung out with such people in high school... so fair warning.

But ya, I don't think they would, since a lot of art oriented sites have the kind of material that blurs the lines between art and pornography (deviant art). And if the school has a strong art focus, it would probably be looser in regulating such material.

(One game design class, the teacher, listing examples of games we could make, mentioned we could use/make "hentai games" if we wanted too. XD

Some one was watching porn during non-major comp sci class. So no, it's not blocked.

Since this keeps getting replies, I'll say it again... My friend has confirmed for me that the college I'll go to will not block it when on your own computer. So the question has been resolved. Thank you for the replies though.

Probably referring to if you live in the dorms; can't think of why a school would block porn though unless it was a religious college (and who would want to go to that).

I thought it depends on the college+place? You could always ask the nerds in the computer section if your ever having trouble.
