Who else is looking forward to this flick?

Looks sort of corny to me. I love a good horror movie but this didn't really peak my interest through the trailer. I will wait to see what people think of it before I truly decide to watch or not.

Not Japanese
The concept actually seems really spooky to me, and Christmas being a happy time of the year for most people just makes it even spookier.

I don't know. I didn't see any jokes in there or anything that seemed like it was supposed to make me laugh. Well, except one joke about beer. Honestly I hope they play it dead pan straight and go the distance.
That being said. Anyone who wants to get drunk out of their minds in certain parts of Europe for free, I got a tip for you. It comes form my father. In some villages they actually have people dress up as Krampus. Some take it even further having people go door to door. Kinda like carolers. When you do the woman of the house is supposed to shoo Krampus away in front of the kids with a broom as a big thing. after that as thanks the family is supposed to give you a shot of liquor. My dad did that. Said by the end of it he was so drunk he had the worst hang over in his life the next day. Claims he did like 30 houses.

I'm hoping they go full horror with this, but I would be okay with horror/comedy if they do it right. Either way I'm juiced to see this and I really hope they manage to knock it out of the park.

Though in all seriousness, I also hope they do that because it would at least be a nice change from the norm. I mean when was the last time you saw a wide spread movie releases of a christmas horror movie with other worldly figures that looks like it might not be just ghosts? Just the fact they look like actual tangible monsters with solid physical forms makes it better to me.

It's a horror / comedy? That's unexpected considering I saw the trailers and commercials like 60 times, every time 30 seconds long and unskipable, between literally every YouTube video I watched...
I did not get any sense it would be a comedy...

I loved this movie
i never really took itself too seriously but also kept the air of a horror film. it was stupid in some places but that's kind of why i liked it

It looked retarded as fuck in the trailer. Over-playing a clichéd miserable family at Christmas time then that gingerbread man with the knife in the fridge just looked funny.
After watching Unfriended ,which in my opinion was also dumb, I don't see how anyone's producing any good movies horror or not too much these days.
But I haven't seen it so I'm holding my judgement till then. Anyone saw it? Worth watching? :/
