Planeswalker EDH? Is that when the leader of your army is a Planeswalker instead of a legendary creature? My friend and I talked about that. He already had a plan to use Sorin Markov as his commander. He can be such a scumbag sometimes playing the game, lol (Sorin Markov's second ability is really harsh in EDH). He could also already change one of his decks, a monoblue one, into a Planeswalker EDH, just replace his general with his Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
No. You can't use a Planeswalker as your general in EDH. A Planeswalker EDH deck is a deck where all your creatures are Planeswalkers, except for your general, and nothing else. In the deck I came up with, I would use Child of Alara as the general. And the last time I updated the deck, I had these Planeswalkers in it:
Ajani Goldmane
Ajani Vengeant
Chandra Ablaze
Chandra Nalaar
Elspeth Tirel
Elspeth, Knight Errant
Garruk Wildspeaker
Gideon Jura
Jace Beleren
Jace, the Mind Sculptor
Koth of the Hammer
Liliana Vess
Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker (not the legendary creature card from Time Spiral)
Sarkhan the Mad
Sarkhan Vol
Sorin Markov
Tezzeret the Seeker
Venser, the Sojourner

It'd be worth it, just to see their expressions. ^^

Too many options could be a bad thing, as well... xP
By the way, perhaps update that list for the newer planeswalkers that released recently?
Also, I just got me a box of the latest core set. I think I got some pretty good cards. Pulled Jace and Liliana as two of my Mythics. Tossing Jace in a mill deck I got a lot of components for already (2 new cards for mill made me want to build a mill deck SO much), and Liliana will find a way into some kind of monoblack EDH deck.

Yep. The last time I updated that list was when Scars of Mirrodin came out, so it doesn't have anything past that.
Jace and Liliana are good pulls, though the one you really want is Ajani.

Ah, I see.
The planeswalker I really wanted was Nicol Bolas... though I could always trade in a couple of my reject rares for him at the card shop I go to since he isn't that expensive.
Anyways, new Ajani is wicked, yeah. Pretty crazy set of abilities he has, and he only costs 3 mana to bring out.

Fun Fact: Nicol Bolas was originally from legends :)
Owner of the shop I go to built just that, of course he basically just stacked a bunch of rare expensive stuff and called it a deck (it's amusing watching someone play back to basics against him while he has a field of $100 bills), all it ever does is play planeswalkers..sometimes it plays a creature O.o

And he was a powerful card, then, too (Haven't used that version before, but his stats and abilities look good to me).
Aha, wow. It win much at all?
Ehe, just read a column in From the Lab, trying to break Omniscience. Wish I pulled that, too...

Only problem with it is its mana cost. That's why people are trying to find ways to cheat it out early.

Yuuuuup. Wanna get one so I could go and break it myself. Then, get a second one for an EDH deck since it seems like quite a worthy addition.

This thread hasn't seen activity in a week, you all busy or something?
On topic, built a Bant-colors Stasis deck. Works like a charm, but wanna replace some of my big Vigilant creatures with smaller ones so their easier to get out, and have more out once the lockdown begins.
Also, managed to do well in FNM last week with a mono-black exalted deck. Didn't expect it to hold up well against the current standard decks thriving right now. Better at least than what my friend's deck did to my mill deck. I thought it was pretty good for using only what's available for Standard so far.

Bought a whole lot of common lands.... 500 of all colors, so I'm set with them until they come out with something new for lands.
Also bought Razia for my red/white human solider deck and Szadeck for my blue/black zombie mill deck. Bought a few other cards that I can't remember off the top of my head today, but was for my mill deck.
I still find playing legacy more fun than just standard, but what can you do :\.

Haha nice. Maybe I oughta do that. I'm always running out of basics and having to buy more, usually plains and islands.
Also nice. Building a soldier deck and just finished a mill deck myself, though those are both standard (simply because after buying a box of M13, I had a lot of components of each to begin with).
Legacy and vintage are both expensive and seem pretty damn competitive. My friend's uncle plays it, his decks are brutal against casual players like me and his nephew, and some of his decks contain pretty expensive rare cards @__@.

When I had a vacation back to the United States 2 weeks ago, I bought a whole bunch of rares at my local hobby shop. Most of the cards were for my mill deck though. Mind Funeral, Keening Stone, and Geralf's Mindcrusher, among other cards.
After coming back to Italy for work, a small group of MTG players had an M13 draft. Built a new Red/Blue dragon deck out of that. Really lucky that I drew Slumbering Dragon that first pack that we opened, and after that a Ring of Valkas.
Someone luckier drew an holo Ajunai. Sold it for $45.
I really like a lot of the M13 cards, even though to me, the cards that they had on preview on the website, didn't look appealing to me.
Mind Sculpt from M13, is a really good mill card. Your only paying 2 mana for it and your target is discarding 7 from the top of his/her's deck is way too good for it to be a common card in M13.
