Question,
What happens if I cast Mizzium skin just when my opponent casts Oblivion ring? Will my MS prevent the O-ring?

I'm pretty sure the ability fizzles... I know Mizzium Skin is basically a counterspell to spells that target, but O-Ring becomes a permanent first...
Still, I think "yes", Mizzium Skin will protect your creature from an O-Ring.

Ok, now, let's say that happened and I only have 1 creature that is now hexproof and no other permanents in the battlefield but lands. Does my opponent have to exile his own creatures then because he already casted O-Ring?

Speaking of Oblivion ring, here's a neat trick you can do with it
This requires AEther Vial on 3
1. Cast Oblivion Ring
2. With the exile trigger on the stack, activate Aether Vial putting in Flickerwisp
3 Target Oblivion Ring with Flickerwisp
4. The second O-Ring Trigger is now on the stack, because the stack operates, first in, last out, the second trigger will resolve first, but it will return nothing as it hasn't actually exiled anything
5. Resolve the first trigger
6. End turn, O-Ring returns, exile another thing
Congrats, you've exiled two things with one o-ring.

No. It's the same concept with trying to resolve a doomblade with an ilegal target (like, say, a similar situation: you Mizzium Skin the target in response)
The spell fizzles, or in this case, O-Ring's ability fizzles, and just doesn't do anything. And remember it's an enchantment, it'll just be a permanent that sits there and does nothing.
ROFL gurall, nice one.
Just plain removing the O-Ring in any way before the first ability resolves will cause the nonland permanent targeted to be exiled indefinitely, right?

Believe so
Also, Mangara of Corondor and Karakas works quite well together ;)
Found out about both of those from a legacy deck called Death & Taxes, it's basically a white weenie deck with a bunch of tricks.

ROFL, that's hilarious. Tap: Exile a thing. WTH.
Death & Taxes, huh... I do love white weenie, that was what my very first deck was, so I'm interested in this.

Meant to post this, it's the d&t primer, the guy who made the deck posts there, there exists a modern version of the deck, dunno how well it does (losing Karakas and Stoneforge Mystic hurts the deck a lot)

Ooooh... It looks cool, but frankly, even after reading a bunch of it, still dont quite understand it fully.
It does seem those cards make the deck work out much better. I tried building a Modern Stoneblade deck using Steelshaper's Gift as the replacement, but it isn't the same.
In other news, received more help for my Standard deck. It is now very creature based, in fact, mostly creatures, but it feels more consistent now, at least through some minor playtesting.
EDIT: Ohhhhh new art Black Lotus... so beautiful...

I wonder what flavor, what backstory to the Lotus has in the Magic universe... I'm curious since I do love how Magic has stories imbedded in it (I know there are books too, but I've yet to get my hands on them).

Don't think Black Lotus has any flavor attached to it that I know of, ABUR are farily bland in terms of flavor.

I love the backstory of Magic. It is very interesting. My favorite would probably be Chandra's and Elspeth's.
By the way, thinking of an artifact deck. What do you guys think about this?
Artifacts
3x Ornithopter
4x Ancient Den
4x Frogmite
4x Myr Enforcer
3x Great Furnace
3x Seat of the Synod
3x Tree of Tales
3x Vault of Whispers
3x Mycosynth Golem
4x Mox Diamond
4x Lotus Petal
4x Phyrexian Walker
3x Blightsteel Colossus
4x Steel Overseer
4x Memnite
3x Mox Opal
Spells
4x Fabricate
Sideboard
3x Silent Arbiter
4x Lodestone Myr
4x Cranial Plating
4x Lightning Greaves
I really want to add Etched Champion but I can't think of anything to take out.

Ahh Affinity...
Okay, first, if you're not gonna be playing competitively, you don't need a sideboard, and besides, ALL colored artifact lands are banned. And not much in your sideboard are really cards meant to be in a sideboard.
Also, Cranial Plating is a MUST in the mainboard, it's where most of your power comes from.
Etched Champion, maybe take out some of your mana, this deck's curve is REALLY low, so you don't need that much land at all. In fact, professional Affinity decks only have about 16 land, which I think may still work in yours, but then you may need to remove the huge ones like Blightsteel and Mycosynth Golem.
EDIT: Remember some of your guys have Affinity for Artifacts, making them cost even less. In fact, when I was building my Affinity list, I considered them to be 0-drops because these kinds of decks are so efficient.
Since you have Affinity spells, you might want that fourth Ornithopter.
I don't think Fabricate is neccessary, Thoughtcast seems WAY better.
Maybe also find room for Master of Etherium? That's a very poweful card.
Maybe use Springleaf drum instead of lotus petal for your acceleration, since you kinda wanna keep artifacts on the table.
Welding Jar can help save your artifacts.
And finally (for now), if you do want those HUGE drops like blightsteel and such, I'd think you want Master transmuter, so you can just cheat them out.
EDIT: Also, you can have a sort of combo kill with Archbound Ravager and Disciple of the Vault, too. Archbound, at least, you REALLY need to find room for 4, it's really powerful.
EDIT2: I think you need more spells overall, too, just in case, since if you're playing a bunch of low cost creatures, ther're also low power and low toughness, so they might wrath you with a pyroclasm or something.
Galvanic Blast is excellent in this deck because it's almost always a better Lightning Bolt.
Dispatch is very powerful removal.
Shrapnel Blast turns any artifact you have into 5 damage.
EDIT3: Also Signal Pest. It turns your 0-power Ornithopters and Phyrexian Walkers into actual beaters, along with making all your guys bigger on the attack.

Colored Artifact lands are legacy legal ;)
Although, I do wonder, do you want to build affinity actually (Not to be an ass Blink, but s/he never specified that it was affinity, just an artifact deck), if so, what format, cause that does change things a little bit.
Also this thread is over 6 months old, WOOOOOOOOOO, and most of my posts are in here, WOOOOOer.

Oh, really? Okay, I know that if I ever go into a Legacy tournament, I'll be playing affinity since that seems like an inexpensive deck to run (though I don't know how much the colored artifact lands cost, but if they are expensive, I can just borrow some from my friend's uncle since he literally bought over 10 boxes of Mirrodin).
Oops. I'm used to calling it that since the professional artifact decks are usually "Affinity" (or "Robots" for those without affinity cards).
Wow, 6 months already. Pretty sweet. Kinda didn't expect it to last THIS long, but when there usually something to discuss, like new sets or something, I guess I can see why.

Artifact lands are cheap, the only really expensive card in the mana base is Ancient Tomb which is at most $10, and even then, you only need 2-3. I think Cabal Therapy, a sideboard card, costs more then half the damn deck.

Whoa. That's awesome. Yeah, definitely a deck I'd run then, since I have a chunk of it already, and the rest I have the means to get. I bought the Graveborn Premium deck, and there's a Cabal Therapy in there... A really nice, foil, modern card-framed one. And a friend of mine has at least 2 Ancient Tombs, one in his trade binder and one of the From the Vault: Realms.
Hmm... Though one thing: how is the Legacy Affinity compared to the Modern Affinity? I know Modern Affinity is kinda just an aggro deck, but since in Legacy, the colored artifact lands are usable, you can get a sort of combo kill with 'em saced to Archbound Ravager with Disciple fo the Vault in play. At least, that's what I've heard about it.

I can't specify how much I hate foil cards. I really really hate them because of their tendency to bend. In my reanimate deck, I have Akroma for side board, but because I can't find a good looking one that is not foil, I literally had to make one.
Regarding my artifact deck, I don't really have any format. It's just a casual deck. I just wanted a bunch of 0 mana artifact so I don't have to deal with any mana problems. Basically, I want to be able to play my whole hand at first turn if possible.
Also, I will never add any overly powerful gamebreaking cards like those of the Power Nines or Painter's Servant/Grindstone or Iona.
EDIT:
I only have Blightsteel because of Mycosynth Golem

It's all good in a sleeve. Saw a guy with some really nice physical cards: An all-foil Modern Jund deck. Foil Dark Confidants, Fetchlands, Bloodbraids, and such. Very shiny.
"Turn one: dump your hand" is nice, but that's exactly why I recommended Thoughtcast to you, so your can draw yourself back into some gasoline. Also why I suggested Signal Pest, since it actually gives you some power, and Springleaf Drum rather than Lotus Petal since it sticks around and lets your creatures with summoning sickness have something to do.
I didn't check the list closely enough, but how many lands do you have? It looked like a bunch, since you had every artifact land, but I didn't add it up. If you were to cut out the two outliers (Blightsteel and Mycosynth Golem), you'd have an extremely low curve since you have five 0-cost creatures (I'm counting Frogmite and Myr Enforcer since you have so many low cost artifacts those are probably gonna be 0-drops), and thus, will be able to run a quite low number of lands, which also allows you to have more space for even more spells.
EDIT: Oh, you're at 16. But you have 11 other mana producers, which might be pushing it. Not exactly sure. Depends on your plan.
EDIT2: Massively awkward Sealed Pool in today's MTG Sealed Simulator... Had to go into 4 colors to build my 40...

Does anyone think a Goblin deck based around Krenko, Guttersnipe, Battle Hymn and Devil's play could work in standard at all?
I've been tossing the idea around, I think it could even work with making it blue/red with Mystical Retrievals and Goblin Electromancers.
