Some little ol' comic store out in the middle of nowhere had a small collection of Magic cards for sale. Found those gems within.

That's pretty sweet. Anything else there catch your eye, or were those the only ones that stand out?

There were a few other World Championship cards but I didn't have much cash and the ones I snagged were the only playset- thats about it.

I played draft with my friends tonight. It was so funny. One of the rounds was Dark Ascension, I said I was playing blue/black but not zombie.
It turned out, it was zombie deck. In the first round, I was able to bring out 4 Reap the Seagraf, 3 Tragic Slip, 2 Diregraf Captains and 2 Black Cats, 2 Sightless Ghoul and Gravecrawler. I was able to flashback 3 of the Reap the Seagraf. 2nd round, 1 was mana screwed and the other one all his creatures were tragic slipped or destroyed.
My opponents had really good draws, but they said they were just really outpowered.
We also did Rise of the Eldrazi, Mirrordin Beseiged and Returns, New Phyrexia and Shards of Alara. All for free and we take whatever cards we like. Booster draft really is fun with the right people.

When deciding what I wanted for my main Standard deck now that Dragon's Maze is out, I was stuck between wanting to return to Grixis, or trying out BUG. Grixis seemed like it was pretty decent and consistent, but BUG now seems quite strong.
I ended up taking the greedy path, and just went GRUB, but now I can't work out a mana base. My friends couldn't help me that much since they don't have experience going more than three colors; helping me work out a four color mana base didn't get far. Usually the problem was having too many shocklands.
Here's the mainboard list so far without lands. It's still under revision since I just thought of this idea, and may find better options for some cards.
Main Deck:
Sideboard:
Probably will need to forsake basic lands to make the mana work properly. May not even be able to run any utility lands. One thing my friends seemed sure of, however, is that I should at least max out on Green-Black lands, since those are the heaviest two colors in this deck.
EDIT: Changed it up a bit. Added one more Duress, then cut the three Deathrite Shamans, then added one Gaze of Granite, bumping the land count up to 25. Still seems that Green and Black are the most prominent colors. Made these changes since I'm not sure if Deathrite Shaman would really work, and it bothers me only having two Duress.
EDIT2: Made a mana base for the deck, but it's kinda dysfunctional. Because the deck is extremely black heavy, I maxed out on all the black lands in my colors, but after a few tests, I realized I can't get my Blue and Red mana as often as I would like.
I also made an incomplete sideboard, which I will need to take into account later as I still try to figure out my mana.

My big qualm with Aetherling is that it costs functionally 7 mana to play, 6 to cast it and 1 to flicker it in response to whatever removal they have waiting.
Honestly, looking at that list, you should just take out the Blue elements. You're playing 4 colors for Aetherling and Snapcasters, Aetherling kinda just feels like a win more type of card here.
Your Snapcasters kinda have a slim pool to play with, but those cards are pretty potent, dunno seems kinda meh.
I do like the card though, it's what won me games at my pre-release after I gave up trying to be Boros.
Register as Boros, play BRU. Sounds legit.

I was indeed told that my blue is unneccessary. I really wanted to play a blue deck, though, which was my reason for trying to keep it in. Perhaps I should just stick to one of the three-color decks I had originally planned for.
I still love AEtherling, especially after actually playing with it. Each time I've gotten to use it, it ended the game soon after.
My Snapcasters actually seemed fine in this deck. It usually had a relevant target.
Either way, though, you're right, neither is that much worth the splash.
Grixis in Limited, pretty nice actually, I'd think. I remember thinking I had a bad deck, but it turned out to be okay when I drafted Grixis in RTR limited. That was a wacky draft, though: almost everyone played red in our pod.

Nice to see Slivers back and all... But why? WHY SLIVERS! I have a very bad disdain for them due to the fact that a lot of players play Sliver EDH Decks, and I don't like them at all...

Great, I get another 2 years of "OMG Slivers are teh brokenz" whenever I listen to casual players at the shop I go to, and a year of "ZOMG MAH SLIVERS DECK LAWAST" at fnm's
I do however look foward to the inevitable 5 color sliver lord.

I've never tried nor seen anyone play a Sliver deck. Are they actually really powerful or close to being OP? I did notice in the preview that they usually have those Every Sliver get something effect.
Also, I really hope there are new Chandra and Liliana cards in M14. That would make me really happy and make my collection look better.

My opinion of Slivers : They are really just very, VERY annoying to play against, especially if you don't have massive removal. EDH is the format I can't stand them though, any other format, I'm fine with it as long as I get my Lightning Bolts.

Wrong, good sir. We must all Wrath of God the Slivers before they even come back into existence.

As saka, said, they're mostly just annoying. But Slivers are pretty dependent on each other. Get rid of the right ones, and they won't do as much as their controllers want them to.
You could also screw with them with anything that can change its type to "Sliver", so your stuff gets bonuses, too (Slivers give effects to ALL other Slivers, no matter who controls them).
Just, never let Slivers spread too wide, otherwise your only option is to kill everything.

Ahh...
Such a shame that Riders of Gavony and Bonfire will be gone soon in standard.
So, Slivers are going to have a really hard time against Black/Red decks right?
That's also funny. Giving bonuses to everyone.
Also, what colour/s are Slivers usually?

Bonfire, especially, will be saddening. But we still have several months. It won't be until the set AFTER M14, I think, that they wil be out of Standard.
Well, any deck with lots of removal. You can't exactly fight with nothing, right? I haven't palyed with SLivers, but against, I noticed they play mostly Slivers and just some support stuff. It's hard to deal with having your guys killed before they become useful. But, again, if they spread out too widely...
All five colors.

I'm pretty sure they span all colors. Also isn't there a red card tht costs like 8 mana and deals 13 damage to everything on the board? Doesn't it get cheaper for every creature on the board>?
