Up for another game? Want to try this Simic Deck I've been toying with.I'll be on in a bit. I'm up for some EDH/Commander and some Modern today.

I just played my first Commander game today. I must say, it is fun.
Activating Collective Voyage for X=7 felt really satisfying when all my opponents are tapped out or have very few mana. I also garnered a lot of F-bombs when I played Deadeye Navigator and Sylvan Primordial.
I now know. Commander takes a loooong time to play.

Oh, commander? Who do you guys use?I play with Hazezon Tamar.

Creating a lot of tokens and then swinging with a Hellrider on the field is the greatest.

=D
So do I~ At least on cockatrice.
Also have a Bruna Light of Alabaster deck on there, too.
The only commander decks I have physically are Niv-Mizzet the Firemind (win by sheer card advantage, or going infinite damage loop), or Sharuum the Hegemon (artifact combos). I do have my Niv Mizzet list on cockatrice, too, I just remembered.

So just a thought i just saw the new young pyromancer spoiler and just brain farted out the idea of rgb epic pyromancer. Basically a bunch of the new green rampy creatures and stuff play a young pyromancer burn them to keep him alive then on turn 6 or 7 epic experiment for at least 5 and have a couple of spells that deal damage based on the creatures in play im pretty sure as long as you hit it with at least 3 instants or sorcerys that would be enough to either win the game or get enough value to eventually win (also epic counts for a creature to plus you already have one in play with pyromancer so you only need to find 2 or 3).

You need a lot to go right for this to work, it looks like. As funny as it sounds, there are too many factors to consider. I'd like for those tokens to have haste at least.
Regardless, that's clever and funny. If you make it work, I'd like to know how you do at FNMs or such.
Where are you getting M14 spoilers, btw? I want to look myself.

That's funny, though there are easier ways to cheat out a Demon.
w34: I like it. Cooler art IMO.
EDIT: Finally, figured out the four-color control deck I've wanted to try, with the help of my friends.
It started with me wanting to try Esper, then thinking that was boring, thus switching to Grixis again. But I still wanted to play with Sin Collector, because I thought it was too good to pass up.
I didn't know how to proceed, knowing I wanted Sin Collectors, Snapcasters and Dreadbores, which put me in four colors. Then I got help and we finished up the maindeck, then another friend thought up the mana base (rather quickly, too).
Came up with the sideboard just now, so its questionable, as always.
Still, I liked how the entire thing ended up. Currently testing it on cockatrice.
Here the list:

EDIT2: Fixed up the manabase. Noticed I was getting too much black and never enough blue. After some adjustment, it's a little better better now.

Have you considered Loxodon Smiter? It's hella efficient: 3 mana for an uncounterable 4/4 body, which makes it great in the control matchup and gives aggro hiccups. Granted a little lower than half of your total mana is white.

Even I'm not that greedy (though I may try a four color control variant)

And sure, there's still a bunch of kinks to work out.

I'll make it, in a bit. Preoccupied at the moment.
EDIT: Erm... technical difficulties.

Magic Results today:
Bant Hexproof against Dimir Mill/Control, won 2-0
Geist of Saint Taft with Spectral Flight and Unflinching courage was too fast and too strong for him to survive.
G2: I actually got milled by 20, but a combination of Invisible Stalker with unflinching courage and Spectral Flight, Voice of Resurgence with Spectral flight stuck around long enough for me to swing over him and eventually death as I Simic Charm'd his Aberration
Naya Aggro vs GWB Aggro
g1: Simply got bopped.
He got his gyre sage to a high level of tokens immediately meaning i simply got over run (Thragtusk+Resto Angel+5 token Gyre sage) Voice of resurgence and 2 Boros Reckoners saved me for 4 turns before he Kessig Wolf Runn-ed over my head.
g2: I went first and immediately slapped down a Experiment 1, which curved in a dryad militant and Reckoner to his nothing for 4 turns. When he tried to shenanigans me with Resto Angel onto Gyre Sage i ghor ramped over his angel, burned his Obzedat heal with Skullcrack and blew him up with Boros Charm
g3: Removal and burn spells flew everywhere, his early Obzedat from Gyre sage ramp(from Selesnya charm, that card is so nasty) bled me and Kessig township secured his victory once again.
Thoughts: Gyre sage is nasty as hell. Game 3 5/6 Gyre sage AND Obzedat. Too good. I think i should have sideboarded O-ring instead of burn, but oh well.
1-2
BUG Aggro vs BWG Something
A deck i've never played before, what could go wrong? Well dear reader. A lot.
Game 1: Mulled down to 5. lel but i had a young wolf, 2 shock lands, rancor and Spell Rupture. He played a Gloom Surgeon and chumped me as he ramped into a Dread Slaver, to my lonely Strangleroot Geist. Lost this one due to mana flooding
G2: A turn 1 Experiment One to his nothing probably meant a good thing. Turn 3 was a ramp turn for me, I didn't want to clash my Mutant with his t2 Avacyn's Pilgrim. Turn 4 saw me dropping Duskmantle Seer. Which he putrified right after. -_-. Many turns of having my monsters blown up by Ulvenwald Tracker+Nightshade Peddler+chumps I finally resolved a duskmantle seer and eked out a win.
g3: A t2 Zamek Guild mage into hands of binding and rancor shut down his Wasteland viper shields long enough for me to nuke him to 7. On his 5th(?) turn he slapped down a Dread Slaver. On my turn I frogged it (hee hee), played a duskseer mantle and nuked him down.
2-1
Thoughts: Hands of binding saved my bacon.
Gruul Land Destruction(I call it my Napalm Deck) vs Simic Aggro
G1: I got my shit kicked in as I ramped, with occasional pings from. Then I nuked his field, burned his measly 4 lands, and proceeded to nuke anything that looked like mana while my Primordial Hydra ate him. Stabilized at 1. My friend was not happy
g2: He was even less lucky this time. I burned his creatures, his lands, and fed him to my hydra.
2-0
Thoughts: I am a scumbag
Napalm vs Esper Control
g1: Mulled to 6, decided to YOLO it. Luckily he wasn't playing much early either. I immediately suspected I was playing against a control deck and my heart sank. I was right, turn 4 Jace, Architect of Thought. T_T. Much control later and he resolved Sphinx's Revelation. Then he resolved Aetherling. Then I forfeited, nothing I could really play.
Then I stopped because I was Magic'd out and even less inclined to finish a long, boring set with a control deck.
Thoughts: I hate Control. So. Much.
