Anyway enough about me and Merry Christmas.

Its fun, I usually just run with my sister but were both competitive so we run until we get worn out.

Can't anymore I've had bad ankles since I was a kid and I haven't run since my senior year in high school, so I'm pretty much out of shape but I plan on starting again.

Always loved dancing so it's easy for me to get into exercise. Other then that, not really sure what else motivates me really. Feeling yourself work up a sweat and getting your heart to pump while pushimg your limits every so often is enjoyable personally. Don't really do it to keep in shape or for health reasons though its a good bonus.

Was a fatass in High School, lost weight during the 1st year of College, started working out in the Army, still going at it with Progressive Calisthenics.
Whenever I feel lazy or unmotivated I watch one of these
That said, what keeps me going is my own condition I guess. I look at my body now and what my body was like back then and I like the way I am right now, though I could do with a bit more cardio. I also love the added strength that comes with working out, makes me feel special you see. (most of my friends are pretty weak).

Condition? How long does it take? Years and months?

I started working out with weights for 6 months and then started doing Convict Conditioning (Progressive Calisthenics) for a year and to be honest, I haven't gained much mass, but I can definitely see some definition there. I used to be able to bench 88 pounds max at the end of 6 months with weights but now I can probably bench 176 or 198 pounds (I weigh 154 lbs).
I train mostly for the strength and the confidence that it brings me. And besides, I'm taking up bboying and according to what I've heard too much mass is not good for a bboy.

Breakdancing? That makes sense but did you do weights for mass then CC for strength? I'm pretty lost when it comes too what I want too do or exercise.

I started with weights because that was the only form of strength training that I knew at the time; it had nothing to do with mass. After six months with weights I hit a plateau where I couldn't progress as much as I wanted, and so I looked into alternative methods of training. At first I came across seemingly ridiculous stuff like pulling on your legs for biceps but eventually I came across CC.
So yeah, I'm mostly in it for the strength. Looks are a great bonus, but there's nothing like being strong as hell.

I would think a balance of all would be fine but i'm wondering if endurance would be the best. I have no idea.

Weights coupled with bodyweight exercises are a fabulous way of training, and as for endurance you can always go for max reps instead of max weight.

To help deal with my condition. I was born with a severely weakened immune system and general exercise (Light jogging, aerobics) help keep me fit and the better shape I'm in the better my immune system works. I don't know all the medical stuff it's just recommended by my doctors to do it and I haven't suffered badly from my illness in a while thanks to it. Also helps that I get to watch my gf's butt when she runs with me~

My motivation to working out is just to stay in shape so I don't feel to bad having some bad eating habits lol. Though it is actually good to have someone to workout with you cause seriously it isn't fun. There are activities that are fun, but a workout with weights and cardio just puts so much stain on muscles and other parts of the body, so if pain is fun then I guess it could be fun.
A buddy is a great thing to have if lifting weight cause they can spot you, and push you to do that extra rep. As a female I can bench close to 150 now only cause my brothers would push me on it, and even make me do reps with them slightly pushing up on the bar to help.

I always wondered how would a masochist feel when working out. I think you are right about having a partner but it would have too be someone your close with otherwise you might end up just getting mad at them or etc. I wouldn't know honestly.

I get judged by others often due to the fact that I have extreme low stamina. I exercise, hoping that the day would come one day when others won't judge me for not being able to walk for 10 minutes.
