My Chaser for a terrible date
0
After a terrible Valentines Day date (which you can read about here) I came home and mixed myself a little something to take the edge off. I call it the BloodyBerry ^_^
6 oz of Vodka
2 oz of tomato juice
3 blended and liquified strawberries
Got any drinks of your own to recover from a terrible night? Gimme the details

Spoiler:
If memory serves, that's a drink (commonly known as Cendol) that contains a few standard ingredients; coconut milk, green jelly bits (shaped like worms I think), shaved ice and sugar right?
I think people can alter it to their liking, but those four are most common in Cendol

Quite similar, but different. Dawet has smoother and softer texture compared to cendol, which have a somewhat chewier texture. And dawet does not use shaved ice, and use palm sugar instead. The key of this drink is the mixture of coconut milk and melted palm sugar, as well as how you make the green jelly bits (though I can't really call it jelly). And no, the jelly does not always green.
Oh, and we use pandanus leaves as well when we boil the coconut milk, for better fragrance and taste.

lol You learn something new everyday...Guess I'm not as knowledgeable about cuisine as I thought...
And I LOVE the taste of pandanus! I had a dish once that had a sauce with pandanus in it (so I was told)...It had a kind of piney, citrusy taste to it, if I remember correctly. Either way, I know I loved it ^_^
