My computer does the weirdest fucking thing

Remember me?
Alright so, this phenomenon happens every so often.
Sometimes it'll happen 3 nights in a row, but I once had it not happen for over a month.
So, sometimes my computer will just stop detecting the internet connection. It's wired.
Troubleshooting gets me nowhere, computer has no idea whats wrong.
Unplugging the cable and plugging it back in doesn't fix.
Resetting router doesn't fix. Resetting modem doesn't fix.
Now the thing is, the internet isn't actually out. Everything works fine on every other device I have- both wireless and other wired devices connected to the same router.
I don't believe its the cable, because of the weird way I have to fix it, which is the only way that I've found to work so far:
I have to restart the computer, and SOMETIMES but not always, it will lock up at the Shutting Down screen and I have to hard-shut down.
Upon the computer coming back on, it still can't detect the connection. I have to troubleshoot again, but here's the weird thing- AFTER it tells me the problem couldn't be found, I press "Next" and the internet suddenly comes back on.
This is only AFTER restarting the computer, troubleshooting without restarting does nothing.
So... yeah, I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the deal was.
I would Google it but I don't know what I would even Google for a problem like this.
I've also done countless virus scans to no avail.
So like, thanks for helping.
Please don't make me feel dumb if there's some obvious fix[/h]
I'm sensetive[/h]
EDIT: For the first time ever it just did it twice in one night.
The computer knows I'm trying to find a way to cure it.
It doesn't want to be cured.[/h]

How old is your computer's network adapter? It might be too old or damaged somehow. Since you eliminated the other possible problems, the network adapter is the only thing I could think of that could be the source of your issue.

Could you upload your system logs to look at?
1. go to start->run or windowskey+r and type eventvwr.msc and hit enter
2. Expand the Windows Logs field
3. Right click System and click "save all events as"
4. if it asks to save any language/display information select "display information for these languages" and click English.
Then please upload the resulting evtx file.

My brother built this PC for me out of some spare parts, so that seems like it could very well be the problem.
But I'm gonna level with you
I know next to nothing about PC parts and maintenance and my brother just moved across the country so
shit
I guess I'm fucked then

I would try to do a fresh install of the OS if i was you. Just to be sure that the problem is not software related (or maybe it is).
If, on your network, only you had and have this problem, is obviously related to faulty hardware or software. If you do not have the possibility to try out a different network adapter you just have to format your HD. If the issue disappear, it was a software problem, otherwise you just have to buy a new network adapter.

Well, I do agree with that title of yours I've never seen any temporary solution like that.
There may be conflict within the parts but it shouldn't happen if it is from the same board.
I would blame the driver before I look at the hardware (and would go and experiment with every version ex. Nvidia drivers), I am kind of person that doesn't believe in "Don't mess with thing if it is not broken"

Sounds like it could be an issue with drivers, possibly a conflict somewhere. You can get all kinds of weird stuff happening then. Do what Rovencrone says and upload a system log.

1 - Back up all your personal files (pictures, videos, documents, music, etc). You can transfer files by copying them to an external hard drive, USB flash drive, or CD.
2 - Reinstall Windows using the recovery partition or disks provided.
3 - If the problem still exists after these steps , try with a wireless usb adapter
