and back again! hello everyone =D the heat are off to a great start, although they almost let a lead slip, they still got things done against the celtics. for this nba season, i'm expecting the heat to repeat. the finals match up is most likely going to be lakers v heat... but we'll see. heat haters, continue hating! =D the king got his crown and the monkey officially off his back lolI want the Lakers to win, but I honestly think they're overrated. They've got some big names on their team, but I just can't picture them having the sync that Wade and Lebron have.
I don't really hate the heat, just their fans

heh, trust me, i don't like heat "fans" either. win or lose, the heat are my team. just like the marlins (and not a good time for that miami franchise) i'll support no matter what. the average heat fan is a band-wagon jumper. they just became fans recently, didn't see most of them before >.>

Its not so much that the Lakers stunk so much as Dallas played their asses off. That's 9 straight losses including the preseason. If they don't get Steve Nash more involved and if Howard can't hit a freethrow (he won't), we will be remembering the 2004 Lakers that had all the stars and got destroyed by the Pistons. History will be repeating itself.
Boston looks better than last year, but so do the Heat. Boston just doesn't match up well against the Heat. Indiana has the bigs to counter them and force the Heat to leave some of their shooters on the bench. But Rashard Lewis is a big and a shooter... Basically, I can't wait to see more games! YEAAAA!
Oh yeah you heard it here first: The Spurs are winning the championship.

what's happening with the Lakers is making me laugh and kinda happy. Rockets might actually contend. meltme is right in suggesting that the Spurs are serious contenders, though age will factor as heavily for them as for the Celtics.
but all of that is irrelevant as long as the Clippers win.
Clippers better win.[/h]

wow what a game tonight vs san antonio. heat nearly lost w/ the best players for the spurs out of the lineup. diaw, splitter, bonner, and all them gave a great effort and heat nearly got 1st home loss. of course ray allen is clutch, is why the heat signed em. lakers? man they need to work on their game. that pacers @ lakers the other night was very exciting and was rooting fot the pacers lol they took it to them by 2 pnts. what else? oh, the grizzlies looking like they the ones to come out of the west. wouldn't surprise me, they're dominating.

For some reason, David Stern came out with a statement saying that he's going to discipline the Spurs (or Coach Pop) for letting Duncan, Parker, Ginobli, and Green rest at home. I think that's a slippery slope. You can't make a team play someone when they have their reasons not to. The NBA is a marathon, not a sprint. This is especially the case for the Spurs, who are an old team in key spots.
Coach Pop, keep doing what you're doing! Fuck Stern!

i'm on the fence w/ this one. i agree in the sense that coach Pop wants to preserve his best players for the right moment, and it is a marathon. however the ONLY reason that game was set to be on national TV was cuz of the great spurs team that is w/ those absent players. one analyst said that he should've rested them the game prior to the heat game. (which was the magic) people that went to the game to watch the spurs in action got ripped off. it is what it is.

I think that was one of Ernie's points, but that was the weakest one. The Heat should always sell out home games, regardless of who they play. They are Hollywood East. The star power is amazing, and the style of play is exciting.
On the other hand, who would watch Orlando w/o Dwight Howard besides die hard fans? The casual fan doesn't wanna watch Big Baby or JJ Redick, even if they are decent players. But if the Spurs are coming to town, casual fans will buy tickets. And they weren't disappointed. In essence, the team that needed to see a great team got to see one. Miami fans always see at least one great team. So Pop did do the Magic fans a favor.
But he did screw over the Miami fans and David Stern for giving him such a shitty schedule. And I love it.

wow what a wild one in san antonio. the spurs hand the grizzlies their 3rd loss of the season making them tied w/ the heat for best record. speaking of which, the heat pull out more end game heroics vs the nets. they started horribly, played the 1st half like SHIT. straight ASS. however they turn it around for the W. next game is vs the wizards which.. i hate to admit but will be cake for the heat. then i'm SO looking forward to thursday vs the knicks, which i'll be attending to =D WOOT! heat looking to avenge their 1st loss of the season vs the knicks. is gonna be a hell of a game =D

a las NY wins against the heat in convincing manner. the heat didn't defend the 3pointer well at all. leaving niggaz open left and right for three points. raymond felton had 6 himself. gotta give credit where credit is due cuz while the heat did defend badly, the knicks was hot and seem to be riding a wave. boy them cocky knicks fans got some pride.. there are still 2 more games w/ the knicks. hopefully the heat will at least tie the season series >

I'm just glad Lin got to drop 38 again on the Spurs even though ended up loosing. Kid is young but still have tremendous potential

wow lakers suck lol nah the knicks are on fire right now. the best team in the east. i'm not a laker fan at all but i was really pulling for them tonight.. oh well, kobe must be pissed =D and how 'bout them warriors? most improved nba team for sure. they might have a promising run...

mid season is upon us. the heat are on a roll and hopefully get a win against the celtics who are in a funk right now. i bet ray allen is glad to be down here lol lakers better find a winning formula or no playoffs for them. clippers have been brought down from that high cloud recently with 3 straight losses (which the heat have yet to do) mid season is when the miami heat really turn it on, nba get ready...

Am I the only one confused as to how the Brooklyn Nets don't have an all-star? They are currently 26-17 and are tied for 4th in the conference with the Indiana Pacers who do have one all-star.
I think it's hilarious that both Boston and LA have two all-star starters when their teams are both under .500.

attented the clippers @ heat game, had a great time. granted the victory ensures that but still, was fun when i attended the knicks @ heat and that was a loss. chris paul and blake griffin were kinda rusty, but that doesn't take away from the impressive heat win. now the lakers are next, i kinda feel sorry for them lol lakers ain't going nowhere this year..

Me: Man the pacers are gonna suck again this year...My bud: Ya know it, besides the Celtics are going all the way again Rondo is going to be unstoppable..
Me today: Reading about NBA injuries
My bud today: Reading about where to get season tickets cheap and early.
Don't count them out yet. They just destroyed the Lakers and are on a 6 game win streak I think. Don't sleep on Jeff Green.
On a side note, LeBron is a BEAST. BEAST. He's MVP to this point in the season hands down.

br0n br0n was so impressive vs the lakers and they weren't playing that bad.. except those turnovers at the end of the game with bad communication, shitty defense... like i said lakers ain't going nowhere this year. on the flip side, clippers kicked the knicks ass, which is only good for the heat =D and wow was that nuggets v celtics game exciting. now the heat got the trailblazers coming on tuesday and on valentine's day: heat @ thunder! oohhh boy that's gonna be a good one!

I don't know about you guys but Kobe is doing some pretty amazing things. I am impressed.he's pretty much the only player (maybe nash) that's actually doing something good for the team lol i've noticed but there's a cancer in the team and i'm not sure if that particular roster (or coach for that matter) would work for them.

that was a lack luster all star weekend (_ _)m ZzzZZZzz
very impressed by kyrie irving and what he did. the dunk contest was w/e.. at this point it's hard to come up with something new or different lol.. a few dunks was kewl but overall not that exciting. that friday celebirty game hard to watch.. so i didn't =P and well the all star game was kinda kewl but nobody cares who wins... so on to the rest of the season. spurs still sit atop of the nba w/ and yet they don't seem to get much attention. that heat win @ okc was pretty amazing. i didn't think it was gonna be a double digit win.. the thunder never even lead once o.O not easy to get a win there. let's see what the rest of the season has in store =D
