14 and counting. tonight they're going for a franchise record 15 games in a row (the heat are) vs the twolves. that win against the knicks was a good one. down by 16 at one point somehow the heat managed to steal a win in NY. lakers are finally .500 and now looking to make a playoff push. nba action heating up and teams getting ready for the playoffs.. good shit coming up =D

Magic Johnson offering Lebron 1 million dollars to be in the dunk contest. Hopefully he mans up and does it. My biggest hope is that some other big names step up to challenge him as well.

attended tonights heat game, was great. the defense won the game and now it's 18 in a row for the heat. did anyone see that raptors @ lakers game? kobe still got it .. i mean, he's yet to lose it but he's old lol now they got something going.. monday will feature a monster game: thunder v spurs. i'm rooting for OKC =D

wow so many story lines coming into tonight's game.. tip off in less than an hour..... will the heat finally break the losing streak and continue their winning streak? so much on the line. the heat players say that they don't care about the streak but i'm sure they wanna win as bad as the celtics do. no kg for the C's though =\ oh well lol we're in for a good one =D

you can't make this shit up: the heat break the 10 game losing streak in boston, break boston's 10 game home winning streak, and continue making nba history by winning a tough one in boston on the SAME DATE the celtic's broke the LAST 22 game streak.. phew. you just can't make this shit up..

memphis beats okc and the thunder suddenly lose two in a row, the knicks beat the magic melo is back scored 21 blah blah blah. ok.. miami heat on one of the most impressive combacks in heat history. this is just getting rediculous: 10 3 pointers in the 2nd half 6 of those in the 4th. james had a triple-double as the heat overcome a 27 point deficit. wacky night up in cleaveland.. how much futher can they go? next up are the pistons.

Kobe Bryant has torn his Achilles tendon, and is going into surgery today.
I have disliked Kobe for years. No other player incurred my wrath more than Kobe, especially when he was winning with Shaq.
But why is it that today I feel so depressed? I feel almost heartbroken. I don't understand.
I know that he'll never be the same again, even if/when he does return. But why do I care? I guess I was taking his greatness for granted. I thought we'd be able to see him for at least 2 more years playing at this level, all the while I would hate on him and call him a ball hog.
And yet, I guess I was secretly appreciating him. I feel so strange. I truly hope he comes back 100%.

i totally understand your sentiment... i think it's because he's one of those polorizing figures in the sport, much like past great players. you never wanna see such a player go out w/ an injury. i've never been a kobe fan, but i recognize greatness when i see it.. and for that i feel the same way and have always respected his game. his personal life? who cares about that.. others hate em for shit outside of the bbal court but none of that matters when it comes to bball.

Hard to see the man go down...he's supposed to be out for 6-9 months. Most injuries I've seen the Lakers ever go through. Nash, MWP, Jordan Hill, Pau, Dwight having been only recently near full health, Steve Blake, now the man who has been dragging them into the playoffs this entire time, Kobe Bryant.
Even at 34 years old the man has had some of the best games the league has seen this season, some could argue the very best. I was personally starting to tell my brother that he was using steroids because his ability to produce at the level he has night in and night out was crazy.
However I guess D'Antoni finally ran him into the ground.....a very sad day for basketball.

Kobe is the last player of the old guard. He was there since I started watching basketball as a little kid. It's gonna be weird as hell no seeing him on the court anymore if he does have to retire. Achilles Tendon injuries are nasty and career enders.
Still freaking hate his guts for that 81 points game on my lowly Raptors >.>

Lakers beat the Rockets in OT to take their 7th seed playoff spot, Pau Gasol finishes with a triple double. Utah Jazz had lost to the Grizzlies so the Lakers were guaranteed a playoff spot anyway. Carmelo finally gets a scoring title, which in my opinion is about time since he is one of the best scorers in the league.

It's that time again, basketball lovers! Playoffs! Who ya got?
I'm sticking with the Spurs. They haven't played well recently, but they got all the key pieces healthy again at the very end. Let's see how well they mesh when it counts.
As for the other matchups, I'm going out on a limb and picking Golden State to upset Denver. Galinari is out, and Farid is hobbled. They are the most vulnerable of the top seeds in the west imo.
Also, I'll keep my eye on the Brooklyn vs Chicago series and the New York vs Boston series. If Boston wins game 1, look out. And I think Chicago could definitely win this series as well.
I have all the other top seeds that I didn't talk about advancing to the next round.
LETS GO SPURS!!!

w0rd! thx for the bracket =D in the east i'm not doubting the heat going back to the finals. yes i'm a heat fan but let's face it, they dominated the nba this season. sure the bulls, pacers and knicks gave em trouble here and there.. i just don't see any team beating them 4 of 7. as for the west, i dunno it might come down to the spurs and thunder. i predict a rematch of last years finals.. the fun, craziness and drama is almost upon us.

really? >.> anyway, boston had a great game. damn those knicks can talk shit. i had the knicks winning this series but NOW i HOPE the celtics win. jeeze wtf is up w/ j.r. ? then wearing black clothes? how immature can you be? so glad the C's won, now let's see if they can make nba history. also, currently watching houston @ okc, if the rockets keep up their effort they might get out of there with a W. nba playoff drama is the best...

Hey now, my claim on the Lakers beating the Spurs had some legitimacy before those freak injuries, I guess I was expecting Dwight to play like he used to.

the 2nd round of the playoffs starts tomorrow!(sunday lol) good shit coming up. heat will not be greeted nicely vs the bulls, will be a tough and physical series. supposedly d rose will be up for playing. still, even so heat in 6. knicks vs pacers. i hope these two teams beat the crap out of each other =P knicks will ultimately get the victory but maybe in 7, possibly 6.
the west features great match ups. thunder vs grizzlies. wow durant and company will have their hands full.. this is hard to predict. however i will give the thunder the edge cuz they got the home court. spurs vs warriors will be another great series. youth, got nothing to lose mentality vs experience and championship pedigree.. will david lee be back to play this series? however i think the spurs got the pressure on them because they're expected to win but even so i got the spurs winning in 6. who you got?

I got
Spurs over Warriors (Could go either way honestly)
Thunder over Grizzlies (Durant even though I wouldn't be surprised either way)
Knicks over Pacers (Star power)
Heat over Bulls (I'm hoping the Heat lose though because that would be hilarious)

It wouldn't be fair to make pics now, since the second round is already underway. But I just wanna point out that I should have bet money that Golden State was going to beat Denver. Steph Curry is a beast. And that game against the Spurs? Amazing. I loved it, and it was made sweeter when GINOBLIIIIIIIII hit that clutch 3. Go Spurs!!!

Grizzlies made me proud winning Game 2. Always one of my favorite teams to watch because they always have a certain degree of technical excellence. I prefer good fundamentals and well thought out plays to flashy run and gun dunking and jump shooting. Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol are two of the best big men in the league and can give any team trouble.
