this awesome, for the 1st time in nba history all semi-final series in both conference are tied 1-1. more basketball? hell yeah! =D heat stomped the bulls.. and i gotta say, what a bunch of cry babies... warriors bounce back in an impressive win in SA. wow this shit is getting better.

Its finally time for the conference finals. The Knicks did well, but Pacers are just a better team. Carmelo nearly had 40 on Saturday and it didn't matter. Pacers were just better.
I feel sorry for the Thunder. Looking back, they should've gave Harden the money and let Ibaka go. Seriously. Harden + Durant > Westbrook + Durant imo. So if Westbrook was destined to go down, they would have kept going like a well oiled machine. Instead they rely on Reggie Jackson, a Westbrook wanna-be-fail (seriously, look at some of the shots he took) and Kevin Martin, whose not half the player Harden is. On the plus side, now people can shut the fuck up about Durant being better off without Westbrook. It would have some merit with Harden, but not without him. Not even close.
I loved what Golden State did at the end of the series, when they stayed after the loss and thanked the crowd at Oracle Arena. That was awesome. I hope they continue to get better.
Predictions: Heat in 6
Kinda late to predict the west, but come on now: LETS GO SPURS!

Well I think Jackson did a fine job as a replacement point guard in place of Westbrook, he can't be Westbrook because Westbrook is an athletic freak and I can almost guarantee the Thunder would have won with him on the floor. I was still surprised by the Grizzlies winning even though I'm happy because they're one of the few top tier teams that don't rely on speed and hype to carry them forward. They have a certain technical excellence and defense that make them a powerful team. I don't believe they have the stuff to beat the Spurs or the Heat unless Mike Conley steps up big time.

it was ASS clinching time down in the dirty south!! wow what an exciting game 1 for the east finals. i hate "cocky heat fans" on the radio. they is like: just give the trophy to the heat and save time. i recognize good teams and the heat isn't the only one. is why these 4 teams have a chance for the trophy. pacers sure gave the heat a run for their money. pual george is clutch, he's certainly raising himself to super start status. and how about the BURDMAN BURDMAN!! his effort is just awesome, great sign for the heat. i hope they sign em for next year no matter what happens this post season. these pacers ain't going nowhere, this series is gonna be badass =D

crap ... initially, i had the heat in 6. the league suspended chris anderson for game 6, and this does not bode well for miami lol the 305 is really gonna be butt hurt over this.. but that was some bone headed shit he did. he didn't need to push psycho-T for no reason. lost his cool and now the team will reap what he sowed. oh well, hopefully lebron will have a marvelous performance in game 6, which he most likely will.. and the notion that he "has no supporting cast" is not fair. i understand he came through HUGE in game 5 but that's not a fair assessment for the entire season. now the playoffs are different but i'm confident the role players will step up for game 6, and 7 if needed. the spurs are watching carefully.

alright ladies and gentlemen.. the stage is set for the NBA Finals! the heat with the best record in the league will have the home court advantage, but they better not slip and let 1 go in miami.. those 3 straight games on the road can be taxing. heat haters can continue hating for yet another series =D this one to me is a toss up.. however i believe it's a favorable match up vs the heat. these pacers are longer and stronger than the spurs is. will that long time off for the spurs have an affect on them? we'll see, these finals are gonna be far more contested than last year's that's for sure! it will be a star studded affair starting thursday in downtown miami (NOT south beach) i hate it when people say "south beach" lol

The Heat get another Championship obviously in my book. Despite being well rested and talented there was only one other team i could've seen beating the Heat, at least on paper. As far as the Spurs are concerned they are going to have some difficult match-ups and with Lebron able to guard just about everybody on the floor anybody looking to have a big game will answer to him (if he mans up). The only person who could make this series a miracle is Ginobli because I don't think there is a single person in the league who can stop him when he's on a roll. If you don't block the ball it will go in. As far as Tony Parker, they'll probably put Dwayne Wade on Tony at some point and Tim Duncan isn't much of threat besides maybe 10-15 points and 10 rebounds. The Heat in 5.

Spurs Spurs Spurs!!!
They've been the underdogs throughout the playoffs. That hasn't changed here. Nobody on the Heat can guard Tony Parker. And if Lebron does, that leaves Ginobli against a hobbled D-Wade. Easy buckets. And if Bosh keeps playing like he's a shooting guard, Spurs will have it easy.
I have Spurs in 7. Let's Go Spurs!

i respectfully disagree. the lakers sucked ass, no way they were gonna take them (especially w/o kobe) most people didn't think the warriors were gonna beat a vet team such as the spurs so wrong again, and against the grizzlies? well i would have to say the same.. me personally didn't believe they were ready for that stage. however they are always under the radar, which they like and which is good. unlike the heat which are flashy and are always under the microscope lol

uh oh >.> well i guess i jinxed the heat cuz they let one slip in miami lol damn it all. their offense died out in the 4th, and how 'bout tony parker? holy shit, what concentration. that circus shot was incredible. it's odd when cbosh and dwade get into an offensive rhythm and the heat come out losing =P oh well.. let's see if the heat's road resilience steps up for those 3 straight in SA. let's go heat!!

Lebron James calls Tim Duncan more consistent and More dominant than Kobe Bryant...My mind is blown by the statement.

1.I know you remember Magic Johnson saying that if the Lakers were "lucky enough" (HA) to play the Spurs, that they would beat them. There were people on this very forum (looking at you monpekokero, no offense) who had the Lakers winning. They were the 2 seed and a large number of people had them winning, when it should have been obvious by anyone that saw how horrible the Lakers really were, especially without Kobe. So I do agree with you that in this series, they were more under the radar than straight underdogs.
2.After that unbelievable game 1 against golden state, and thanks to Mark Jackson hyping up his back court, people (more than a few NBA analysts) had Golden State advancing as the Cinderella of the NBA playoffs. Didn't work out so well
3.Almost no one (except for me) had Spurs over Grizzlies. Count yourself as part of a very small minority.
4.And of course, they're underdogs against the defending champs.
So they've been under the radar or underdogs throughout the playoffs.
As for game 1, that was a great game. Great offense. Heat seemed like they couldn't miss until the 4th quarter. Duncan and Ginobli looked 5 years younger. All the Spurs needed was game 1 and they got it. I hope there are more games like this coming. Very entertaining.

But if you look at what Duncan's accomplished (3 time Finals MVP, 2 time NBA MVP, multiple time first team all NBA, multiple time first defensive team, multiple all-star games, 4 rings, 1 gold medal) vs what Kobe has accomplished (2 time Finals MVP, 1 NBA MVP, multiple time first team all NBA, multiple time first defensive team, multiple all-star games, 5 rings, 2 gold medals), they actually match up better than you'd think.

WOW... ray allen! CLUTCH! that is why the heat got that nigga, for moments like THIS! that was an intense game. damn tim duncan found the fountain of youth, what a performance he had, awesome. this game was a roller coaster as they say, and what a game it was. tell me you didn't enjoy it. basketball fan or not that was enjoyable. the winner of game 5 usually wins the series BUT, never has a road team won an nba finals game 7. will the spurs make history on that front? or will lebron james get his sweet revenge? game 7 is where it's at no matter what sport it is... can't wait for thursday!! =D

Parker's 3 pts was a game changer, but Allen's 3pts was the conclusion, enough said.

Even though we lost SA is going wild too, just knowing we made it this far this year is enough to have a giant welcome for when the guys come back.
Hard to watch at the end, it was like SA was just giving those points away, Manu, come on dude.

I'm heartbroken. No other words to describe it. I'm so proud of the Spurs, such a great organization, such great personnel. But FUCK if it doesn't sting a little.
As cliche as it sounds, the better team won. Congrats to Miami.

i bet San Antonio has better fans. i'm not fond of these yahoos that call themselves fans... most miami "fans" are bandwagon jumpers. i'm not gonna lie and say i been a heat fan since '89... but i been a NBA/basketball fan since the Jordan days and watching that man play was a spectacle to behold. the Spurs gave the Heat a run for their money. i didn't have a definite winner, didn't favor one team over the other this series but i just knew it was gonna be crazy. missed free throws and a clutch play by allen led to a game 7. a shot that duncan makes 99% of the time could've tied the game who knows what would have happened. i tip my championship hat (which i got for free on a bet) to the San Antonio Spurs and their fans. great, respectable opponent and organization.

it's been a while...
SOOOO how about them playoffs? lol crazy as fuuuck so far. trailblazers looking to make a deep run, thunder losing tonight, pacers losing home court advantage after just 1 game, bulls losing vs the wizards. so much crap and suddenly the east doesn't look so damn weak anymore. so far these playoffs look pretty unpredictable. seems like anything can happen.. however i sincerely believe the heat are gonna go to their 4th straight nba finals. i'm also expecting okc to come out the west. rematch of the two current best players in the nba. win or go home !!

Welcome Back.
These playoffs have had a bunch of great games, especially in the west, where every series is fun to watch.
But I know you've heard of the Donald Sterling fiasco. I heard some of it, and its bad. Really bad. And he's had some history of this. He's a weird dude (he has a wife and a girlfriend, never mind that the girlfriend is a minority). There's not much they can do to him though. I would love for them to force him to sell the team. He can't stay as an owner in the NBA.
PS: SPURS, ITS TIME TO WAKE UP!!!!!!!
