NHL Playoff Ideas?

So the NHL (National Hockey League for those who don't know for some reason) playoffs are starting up and, I know there are a handful of people who like the sport as much as I do.

So in short I'm curious to see who fakku thinks will get the cup this year, my money's (more I'm cheering for) Blues or Canadians.

My dad had me and my brothers grow up loving NHL. Of course we are huge Blues fans so rooting for them regardless of the last few tough weeks.

So I will pick Blues coming out of the west and hmm Boston coming from east.

Also I am not greatly fond of new playoff system. I don't mind how they set first round, but I think 2nd round just reseed the teams. That way you can maybe also help create rivalries outside of divisions.

I'd like to say Penguins, with the talent we have just sitting on our roster, we're never just out of the race. But the past few weeks have been rough, really rough. We need to get our shit straight before anything else.

Fleury has just abysmal post season luck, as does our coach. I dunno, I'd like that to change; with all the big ticket names we have right now, and how close we have gotten the past few seasons, we should have gotten another cup between 2009 and now, five years is just too much.

I'm rooting for the Blues since they're my favorite team out of the ones that made the playoffs. Plus they haven't tasted the glory of hoisting the cup. However, I think either Boston, or a different team for the West is going to win it all.


My Picks:

I am not sure if someone woke up in my house, but the goal in 3rd overtime just had us going crazy! LETS GO BLUES! lol great games so far.

I say Bruins in the East, and the Ducks in the West.

I like the Ducks not just because they are my fav team, but the have something to play for. It's Selanne's last season and the players are trying to let him go out with a bang. Though the West is so tough, it's really a random shot in the dark of who will make it out.

Why do we suck so much?


Anyways, anyone but Montreal please. So I'm rooting for Tampa Bay at the moment. I love Stanley Cup playoffs because you can't never tell who's actually going to win unlike the NBA. The eight seed actually has a chance of making up a run and not take up space.

Surprised so many blues fans lol, But yeah I do agree NHL Playoffs much more fun to watch, I was watching the blues black hawks opener the otherday in a bar and I had to laugh at the two chicago fans in there with the rest of us blues fans. They promptly left after that last overtime goal.. god that game was crazy.

As for the eighth seat comming to win it yeah... don't remind me of the LA steamroll run... I had awesome tickets for my birthday where I got to watch the blues get stomped...

Speaking of getting stomped how about the Lightning getting swept? Anyone else a bit surprised?

They really needed Bishop. I was shocked they were not able to win 1 game, but doesn't matter how many you score if you let one up just as quick. Let alone I am pretty sure they were starting every game going down a goal. Stamkos is one of the best in the league, but even he cannot play goalie and forward at same time.

Also damn you Kane and Blackhawks. And LETS GO BLUES!

My heart is broken once again as I watch my Blues team not show up and just get their asses handed to them by Chicago. I will never root for Chicago and hope they lose in the next round, but the better "team" won the series.

Well the two teams i had rooting interests in both got eliminated (RIP Lightning and Blues). I guess I'll root for the Ducks since one of my good friends is a Ducks fan.

So we have Hawks vs Ducks/Kings and then Rangers vs Habs/Bruins

While I personally want Ducks vs Habs. If it ends up being Hawks vs Habs, I do believe that it'll be one of the most viewed hockey playoff finals, in recent memory.

I don't care who wins the Cup as long as it isn't the Hawks.

Seriously I hate the Hawks.
