This is a band I found several months ago that got a lot of exposure on SiriusXM Radio. I'm gonna be going to their concert this Thursday which I'm pretty excited about.

Their entire cd is amazing. What I love most is from listening to interviews with them on SiriusXM is how personal their songs are and how much they went through. This isn't a new band, they've been around for years but just now getting noticed.
They have a song called Jenny which is about the lead singers sister with mental instabilities and becoming a drug addict while their mother was dying from cancer and trying to stay alive just to be there for his sister.
Then the other song he wrote was called God Went North as his mom was losing her battle she became more religious and full of faith and he was losing more and more faith in God.

Yeah, after looking at their Wikipedia page I noticed how long they've been around. I can't believe they released four CDs before getting signed by a label. I really like it when bands write lyrics with deep, personal meaning. To me, it sort of proves that they aren't in it for fame or money, and its much easier to connect with their music.

Their tour this year has tickets for sale at $10 a pop at a lot of different venues around the states. I haven't been to a concert since I was a teenager, but I couldn't pass that up. I have a good feeling you won't be able to get tickets that cheap in the future. I believe they're an opening act for some big event with Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat this year too.
