Public Display of Affection

In a relationship, do you perform public displays of affection? Why or why not? I'm not in a relationship, but if I was, I wouldn't do pdas. For one thing I think its rude, I'm also too shy to do something like that.

A public display of affection is a broad definition. It can take from simply holding hands to a full public make-out. I will tell you as a married man, PDA's are fine as long as they are not outrageous and your partner is fine with it. I encourage the simplest displays of affection like holding hands (with or without interlocking fingers is fine) and hugs form time to time, just take in mind that location and timing are key.

No public displays of affection at all may bring some miss communication and insecurities that may very well break the relationship.

I really like PDA. Of course, I think it is kind of obnoxious to be like... humping in public or something, making out, etc... but little kisses, hand holding, cuddling, hugging? I don't mind any of these things. I'd be a little sad if I was with someone that wasn't as touchy-feely as I am. I'm a very physical person, and I express my love this way, so it would be strange if I was with someone who wasn't receptive to these things.

Depends on what the PDA is. I don't care if people do it as long as it isn't right in front of my face for longer then 10 seconds (aka your on the bus or they're on the bench next to you humping or doing the octopus suction kiss). Other then that I've done PDA with my bf such as holding hands, leaning on them/hugging them, kissing them for a second to a couple of seconds, trying to get away with a butt grab if I can lol.

Sometimes you try to get away with more intimate PDA in areas such as behind trees/buildings/on the beach/in movie theaters in the back, but just as a passionate spur of the moment sort of thing. Clubs are pretty known for hardcore PDA where you're nearly having sex on the dance floor which I don't care about myself; usually you're drunk and having a good time.

Basically I don't want to see people dry humping in the middle of the day, making out like they are trying to suck their faces off, or dry humping. If I want to see soft/hardcore porn I'll go online.

I do it quite a lot, simply can't help myself.Kisses,cuddles, butt grabs,hugs. It's just nice. I don't mind when other people do it as long as they're not tonguing each other. Even then I'd try to look away .

tbh I like it a lot as long it doesn't become too clingy. Holding hands, Kisses, hugs and cuddles are the best PDA in my opinion. But it depends a lot on my partner and if they are comfortable with it. Though my own limit is when it becomes tongue kissing, making out or just being too clingy. This goes for both for myself and for other couples in public. I believe that public space is for everyone and therefore you should show respect to those around you even if you are all lovey dovey with your partner. Some people might be disturbed or just find it annoying by all the clingy love you are throwing at each other.

It's enjoyable, amusing, and arousing. I wouldn't mind sex in public in general.

Depends on level. Kissing vs dry humping. Personally i have no shame so i fuck in the street... libido willing.

I don't have any problem with PDA. Call me inconsiderate, but I've made out on multiple occasions in public. I mean, I know where to draw the line, but I still toe the line from time to time.

I'm generally fine with PDA, only to the sense of a kiss/hugging. Not as far as making out, just a quick peck on the lips and that's all. Beyond that I'll just wrap my arm around my girlfriend or hold hands. I just feel awkward beyond that.

I'm one of those strange people who don't like PDA when it's other people, but do it when in a relationship.

The last time I was involved in PDA, it escelated to me being cockteased until we were dry-humping on a bench in an area where line of sight was obscured but people could walk past anytime.

Don't really mind PDAs as long as couples don't do them in a in-your-face type of way, you know, where the purpose really isn't to actually show affection to your partner, but instead you just want to show off to other people and do it so you would get attention.

I like to see them and do them, any degree to be frank (I'm a way TOO clingy~). I don't see any reason to hide in the first place aside from not annoying others (you shouldn't annoy others), though there are personal tastes and so, too, so it's ok to not like them, too.

With annoying others it can be a lot of things, but usually I mean when you're with other people in a group or anything: you should give time and attention to everyone, not just your partner. This includes family and so. Of course, you can also PDA each one of your friends or family, too, *chuckles*. The other usual way to annoy others by PDA is when the PDA is turning hot and strangers can clearly see it. While it shouldn't annoy anyone in a bar or if you're somewhat hidden. But in a Park, in front of parents with theirs sons? You're gonna annoy em' for sure.

There are other circumstances where PDA can annoy others, but they tend to be a way to specific. There also exists the people who gets annoyed by them without a half-assed decent reason. Like being angry and single and hating being single and they burn in jealously when they see a paring, not like in my case I care too much, lol.

The thing is, when I see others PDAing, I feel really HAPPY. I love to see others enjoying themselves and displaying affection, being happy and so... ❤. I feel the same when I do it. So, I never got annoyed by a PDA unless I got blatantly ignored. Neither seeing or doing a PDA, they make my day~

Maybe... Teehee! As outgoing and social as she is, Cherry's normally too shy to do stuff like that in public, though she'll happily hold my hand or put her arm around me, kissing and hugging where everyone can see she won't do.

I'm not that shy. I have on occasion kissed her for a couple seconds, held her in place and hugged her real tight, picked her up and carried her one time, and I even did something kinda pervy once or twice...

For instance, my 21st birthday back in August, we were bowling, and at one point I grabbed her boobs from behind and wanted to joke about how her boobs were as big as bowling balls, but she actually sorta called me out on groping her before I could say anything. (I shit as drunk I was drink... What?) and another time I went into the changing room with her so we could both try on some clothing. She liked that one.

All in public view. For Cherry it is both embarrassing because PDAs generally get us some odd looks,but fun because of the sudden romance that she happily goes along with. I kiss her, she kiss back. I put my arm around her, she does the same to me, I start trying to slow dance with her to this nice instrumental music in the mall, she'll drag me to a corner of the room with low visibility and then do it.

One of my ex girlfriends could not keep her hands off me in public, and me being the chicken that I am could not handle it and tried to call her out on it but that just made things worse.

I do , except I dont go to the extrem like some couple do , like totally making out infront of some friends .. I think this is unrespectable. I do hold hands or hug and sometimes a little kiss but nothing more

Honestly, only holding hands and hugs I'd be okay with. Way too many kids back then in highschool eating eachother's faces out in the hallways.

I don't like it and won't participate in it. It makes me and probably others feel uncomfortable. It's also not necessary, older couples don't need to do it, so, to me it's just seems a showoff thing. People who are proud of their relationship don't need to make it a public thing they are there because they are happy with one another.

Seems harsh but if couples do it I probably wouldn't say anything. They're money is as good as mine after all.
