Would you drink reused, water that was cleaned yet came from people's shit?

I'm surprised we haven't even done this until now. It would solve so many issues with water (especially since California is in the middle of a really bad drought).

Who cares where it comes from? Water is water no matter where it originates, and if it's safe to drink then there is no problem with me.

Except desalination is cheaper and lacks deshitting. Doesn't work for landlocked places.

I'm not going to go seek out this water to drink, but if it's what I was given and it tastes fine/I don't get sick then whatever.

Everyone already does drink shit water. At some point almost all the water on earth was inside some animal or plant. Whether its the urine from a dinosaur, or had fish poo floating in it, or cleaned los angeles sewage people already have been drinking water that at some point was less than tasteful.

Yes, I wouldn't care where it came from so long as its clean.

Actually a lot of city use reclaimed and recycled water. Basically straining and bleaching sewer water.

Most water has had something disgusting in it in the first place, but I don't see this really catching on in any place but countries that really need it.

Just don't tell me it's from sewage and I'll be okay. It can't be as bad as drinking the pond water around here.

I also forget too mention it would power electricity and steam as well as clean water.

Well yeah if nobody told me about how and where they got the water I'd have no problems with it. If I do find out.. then hell I'd probably die of dehydration.

I wouldnt seek it out, thats for sure. But if it was the ONLY water available then yes.

Sure, why not. Water is water, no matter where it came from. Refusing to drink it is like refusing to eat a particular food, because the atoms this food is made of were created within X42-F star's core instead of UI8-3.
