There have been countless of nights where I fall asleep and have incredible/insane dreams. These dreams are so chaotic, I wake up feeling like I got no sleep at all.
In most of these cases I wake up with junk food wrappers and pizza boxes (empty) laying around my bed.
I asked friends if they also have restless nights do to crazy dreams from eating junk food right before bed, but the results were split.
So I ask the Fakku community what they think. Does food right before sleeping have any effect on your dreams? And why? Or why not? Maybe some of you will try it out, by eating terribly right before bed.

Usually happens to me when I eat ice-cream, pudding, or anything with a high sugar content. . I honestly don't know the science behind sugar and saturated fatty foods relating to crazy or horrible dreams personally, but it can happen to some people.
Basically just cut out the foods that do this sort of stuff and dreams are only dreams.

i cant speak for others, but eating things like fast food or something right before bed doesnt affect my dreams. Mostly because i usually have lucid dreams, but even when i dont know im dreaming, everything is fairly normal. But like i said, thats just me.

I mean scientists say certain foods can affect dreams, but I never experienced that. For the most part I don't remember my dreams.

Can't say food have affected my dreams, maybe subconsciously, but not in any major way that i remember. I would just say that our 'wake' minds experiences affect the sleeping mind.

During my time in the Army I usually had a cup of tea before bed. I slept better that way, and I felt less annoyed when my juniors came to wake me up for sentry duty.

Normally for me dreams are a rarity but from the fee I have had I know the ones where I have nothing eat junk food and play video games (yes there are days where people just want to be a neck bearded grognard) they are usually terrible but night were I have calmed down and meditated it usually is just more restful meditation.

I have never noticed having weird or crazy dreams after eating right before bed. I usually have fairly chaotic dreams anyway.
I have noticed that music affects my dreams though.

I only get weird dreams if I eat pizza at late night after clubbing. Else I don't think it affect me. I do however not know if it can be scientifically explained.
