It is very similar, but seeming that no one continue with any actual positive progress in that thread, it won't be bad to post another one here. How is your nikuman doing? Did you ever get the chance to learn to make it? Cooking Master Boy also had a huge impact on my life when I was a kid (LOVE THAT SHOW!!) I wouldn't mind any critics on my recipe, just be nice to the others^^. I think I'll post again next week for another recipe of my own when I have the time.
p.s. the Oden soup can also be use to cook with Udon noodle, which you can also buy it from Wal-Mart. However, I really don't like the sauce they provided, it's not my taste. So I only took out the noodle and cook it with my Oden soup^^ yum~

Ah~ Final exams are killing me~ ^^
Been cooking a lot of this lately, because it's cold here at where I'm staying, and it's fast to make as long as your rice is already done cooking.
Sukiyaki~ If you've been watching Kuragehime or other stuffs, this dish shows up a lot in anime. Usually when there are friends or family around.
um...don't actually put that many beef in all at once...+_+
So here's a quick tutorial on youtube done by Cooking with Dog
Sukiyaki
Nothing too complicated, just depends whether you like it or not.
90% of the ingredients can be found at Wal-Mart or other local shop at the Asian sauce corner.
Basically you'll need:
1. White Rice (because it goes better with it)
2. Sliced Beef
3. Sauces:
soy sauce
mirin(can be replaced with just sugar
sake(but not necessary if you don't want any alcohol)
4. For the vegetables I bought
Green onion (diced or sliced is up to you)
White napa (aka Chinese cabbage)
Mushroom (shitake to be specific)
Spinach (I bought the packe pack, ready to go right away!)
5. Just follow the video instruction and absolutely nothing can go wrong. For my personal taste, I like to "juice in" a bit lemon juice make it even for flavorful
So the sauce is really good in my opinion, and goes great with sliced beef if you never try this before. Don't cook the beef too long, if it's thin, should be very easily cook, so watch your beef. So try it! I'm serious. Go make yourself an anime dish and eat like one!
