lol no it would not make good weathering effects considering it is red under the black. I didn't use spray paint for this. This is pure hand brush.

yup. I don't have any money to buy primer at all. I also need new bottles for Gun metal, semi gloss black, and clear red. and lots of thinner.

Personally, I hate my Gouf right now, I didn't have the proper tools for the screws in the knees and shoulders so they're not perfectly aligned with the hole....and thus poke out at an awkward angle.

I see you've been improving, keep it up ^_^
And don't misunderstand that you can only produce good works with an airbrush, my friend whom I respect highly is a pro with a paintbrush and can make really good models, he even finishes master grades hand painted. Here is one of his works : http://www.mechapinoy.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=11480 ,
I on the other hand use Industrial spray cans just like some modellers, and I haven't even fully tapped their full potential yet XD They are way cheaper than hobby grade paints, but it takes some getting used to.
Speaking of EX-S. here is my current project: the SD EX-S from MC model. And it's a royal pain T_T Lots of seams to deal with and demands a lot of masking. Will be adding a Radome disk to the default beam smartgun (coz the freaking kit doesn't have it ) in addition to the Red LED for the ALICE system.

Kabayan! lol, ABs are a must, if you really want to pursue the hobby, but, i think industrial spray cans do just fine.
Another example of a spray can painted kit.

^Sure, I'd buy a paintbrush if I finally have a job. Personally though, I think I'll be sticking with Industrial spray cans for a long while, I still see them as cheap alternatives as compared to paint bottles for airbrushes. Though I can understand why most people would call them investments. But for now, I'm pretty satisfied with what I can work with.
I use pylox plus TOA , and I find them in SM and Robinson's most of the time, previously they were just around 120 pesos, but now they've increased to as much as 159 -_-. In desperate situations I use Bosny, with a Mr. Hobby nozzle.
The guys in my sig are painted with Bosny Dark Gray (first time I used the stuff, since I can't find any TOA dark grey anymore), and my usual mix of TOA and Pylox.

OK, DAT PAINT IS OVER-PRICED, i will be sticking on Bosny, 120-159 gives me 2-3 cans of paint,
is pylox dat good? i tried one, but it sucks, i dont know if mine was an old stock but, i find it unsatisfactory on it's coats, it does not look good compared to bosny.

Anti bug (LOLZ got to say it, this is the right time right? XD)
Actually if you're buying Bosny you can just buy them in hardware stores for cheaper prices, unless they don't have the colors you are looking for. I usually buy my primer in a nearby hardware store
Edit: 2-3 cans of Bosny, what you buy them wholesale? ^_^ If I remember correctly Bosny cans sell for 100 pesos or more in mall hardware stores, and costs 70-90 in local hardware.
And yes, Pylox Paints are good, if not the best. Honestly Bosny is the worst in my paint collection (except for their primer)it has thick consistency (thus I use a Mr. Hobby nozzle), slightly rougher, and it takes longer to dry as compared to TOA and Pylox. Spray painting may sound easy, but it really has a slight learning curve, make sure to shake the cans thoroughly, spray on the part on a fair distance, and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CAN XD

Yes, i do buy it on wholesale, i found a store that gives them for 65php each, but it's kinda far. as for the nozzle, i usually make it 12 inches from the part, that way, it would have a better consistency.
and i usually , give it a 5 min soak in hot water.and just half press the nozzle.
i fear that my fingers will suffer from athritis. Lol
Thanks for the Insights!

You already know the basics, so I think you just got a bad can. Pylox paints are still "thinner" and are way smoother in my experience, even if they are a bit more expensive.
I'd buy a whole box of Pylox Angel white on wholesale if I could XD
