Yeah, that's a thing in Unity (That being the Unity desktop environment, not Ubuntu itself.). Everyone hates it and nobody understands why it's there.

Yeah I removed the package, still erks me that I even had to do so, I think it should be an option inclusion rather than being built-in, but they're getting some decent cash from Amazon so I guess it's okay. The idea they're going for is that you should be able to find anything using the DE's search function. So this is likely the first in a long line engines that are going to be installed by default.

Yeah, I read up a bit on it. I guess the idea itself is pretty sweet, but it becomes kinda strange when only amazon is installed. Don't use basic Ubuntu myself, I use elementary OS, so I've missed out on this "feature".
