SSD Boot drive

So a quick question for Fakku's community.. I'm planning on installing windows on an SSD as you normally would then format the second hard drive then boot up off a repair disk and symlink the folders: Program Files, Program Files (x86), and Users to the second drive. In this way windows should still act like they are on the SSD but they were moved and linked from the second hard drive. It sounds good in theory to me.. but I though I'd ask for a second opinion here. So any thoughts?

It will work until the system does anything with system restore (which is part of installation of certain software, like MS SQL, Visual Studio, etc.), then the symlinks will break...
Not recommended. I know, because I tried this in the past.
Instead what you should do, is install the OS, then customize it in auditing mode with the proper answer file. (To do this, you must pause at the very end, so called OOBE - Out of Box Experience - part of installation where you start to create your user profile).
More details:
Win7: how do I move user folder to a different drive
Users Folder - Move Location in Windows 10

Thank you for the information and allowing me to skip the pain that most happen due to a de symlink
