Suggestions for new J-Rock bands/albums
0
I've been meaning to do this for a long, long time. I wanted to ask the community here what are the best J-Rock bands and albums out there. Doesn't really matter how old or new, I'll still listen to them. Some of the bands that I'm listing below may not be all J-Rock, but I'll list them anyway.
I currently listen to:
Maximum the Hormone
UVERworld
Abingdon Boys School
Asian Kung Fu Generation
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
An Cafe
etc
Been desperately seeking out new bands or albums to listen to... thanks, guys.

Ohhh, thanks! I was thinking people were gonna throw out a bunch of bands I've already heard of, but you threw out bands that I've NEVER heard of at all which is exactly what I wanted! Thanks!! =)

After a few weeks... I tried a few of the bands. After youtubing around and whatnot. I gave a few a chance.
uplift spice - I really loved how some of songs sounded... but the vocalist's voice drives me nuts. It seems too high pitched and I tried to get used to it... but it just bugs me too much.
versailles - I really love their music, and I honestly wish that they would just jam out the entire time. I feel their songs need no lyrics... just pure music.
With the Thanksgiving and Black Friday chaos over I'm going to try and look a few more on your list up before finals start. =)

Awesome, let me know what you think of the other bands on the list when you get a chance to listen.

Scandal has been pretty popular as of late, so it's kind of hard not to of heard of them by now. I only heard a few of Stereopony's songs from the Darker than Black Season 2 single. I haven't heard much of Sambomaster recently, but I've heard a few of their songs over the years... all of them have been fairly good.
Will probably listen to a few of these YouTube videos now. I'll edit my post when I'm done... thanks, guys.

Oh yeah and these guys. Their earlier stuff is golden, newer stuff not so much. Their videos are always amusing to watch though.

After studying for my finals and slowly growing a stubble, I listened to most of the YouTube videos here as I previously promised to.

These videos sounded great. I'll have to look into all of these guys.
Stereopony
As I said before, I only heard Stereopony through their single from Darker than Black but this song was real good. I think I was more fixated on the vocalist's eyes though. DEM EYES!!
One Ok Rock
Dear holy lord. These guys are frickin' amazing. I managed to grab a bunch of their stuff and I love it. The NO SCARED video you posted was awesome.
After finals end (please kill me), I'll have to chance to listen to more of your suggestions! Thanks again, guys.

Undead Corporation is pretty good.Damn straight. Their best albums are I'm Already Dead? and Melodic Heavy Low Roar Over The Full Moon.
Also their latest album Blow, has amazing instrumentals. Tracks 1, 2, 3, 7, 10-17 are great. Best ones are Love 2 Hate (tr. 7 & 16), The world no hope remains (11 & 2) and Phantom Ensemble instrumental (17).
Also, songs by Yuyoyuppe and his Circle Draw the Emotional are amazing. Albums Planetary Suicide, V.L.P, Solitude Freak, Funny Party in the Fog, Collapse of the Sky, and For a Sick Boy as well. FSB, PS, V.L.P, and SF are vocaloid. CotS and FPitF are actual singers.
Utsu -P also is great. Check out his song Potato-head in wonderland.
All of Foreground Eclipse's albums are great too, especially their latest album Each And Every Word Leaves Me Here Alone.

WOW! It just so happens my little sister is into K-Pop and sorta pointed me in the direction of J-Rock since I dig Rock and I stumbled onto this thread. I just viewed the One Ok Rock stuff and I LOVE IT! Is there anywhere other than Youtube where I can get their stuff! It's awesome! Are there other groups that I might like that have a similar style?
